Meet Brian “hypnautic” Godeaux | Co-Founder & COO of Qoncert | Full-Time Artist | ½ of Top Flite Empire

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian “hypnautic” Godeaux and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brian “Hypnautic”, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Music saved my life. Plain and simple. I didn’t just choose this path—it chose me. Growing up, I dealt with things that could’ve broken me, but music became my escape, my therapy, my way to turn pain into something powerful. It gave me purpose when I felt lost, and it kept me going when nothing else made sense.
That’s why I Co founded Qoncert—because I know there are countless artists out there who feel the same way. Music isn’t just a hobby; it’s survival. But the industry makes it hard for independent artists to break through, so I wanted to change that. Qoncert gives artists a real shot—stages to rock, fans to reach, and a way to build their careers on their terms.
For me, this isn’t just business—it’s my life’s work. Music saved me, and now I’m paying it forward.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Man, my art is my life—it’s not just music, it’s my story, my survival, and my way of making sense of the world. As a Denver artist who’s lived off music full-time, I’ve built my career from the ground up, with no handouts, no shortcuts—just raw passion, relentless hustle, and a deep connection to the people who resonate with my music.
What sets me apart? Authenticity. I don’t chase trends; I tell my truth. My music is raw, real, and a reflection of life’s pain, struggles, and triumphs. That’s what makes it hit different—it’s not just entertainment, it’s something people can feel.
Right now, I’m excited to be working on my first solo album since 2009 with AJ Johnson. This project is personal—it’s about everything I’ve been through, everything I’ve built, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Was it easy? Hell no. The music industry is designed to break artists, not build them. There were times I had to figure out how to make rent off this, times I questioned if the sacrifices were worth it. But I learned that resilience separates those who make it from those who don’t. I adapted, I built multiple revenue streams, and I took control of my own career—no waiting for labels, no waiting for permission.
That’s why I co-founded Qoncert—to give independent artists the opportunities I had to fight for. I built this platform because I know what it’s like to be overlooked, to grind with no roadmap. Qoncert puts artists on real stages, in front of real audiences, getting real experience and real money. No gimmicks, just results.
The biggest lessons I’ve learned? Bet on yourself. Outwork everybody. And never let the industry define your value. I want the world to know that my story isn’t just about music—it’s about ownership, impact, and proving that you can build a career on your own terms. I came from nothing, made this life work, and now I’m helping others do the same.
This is just the beginning.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you fly into town, first stop—hit my guy’s spot at DIA, Los Chingones. Get some solid food before touching the city.
After that, we’re heading straight to a Qoncert show or a Top Flite Empire performance—no better way to experience Denver than seeing the energy live. Last year, we put on 250+ shows in 20 states, and every city has a hot spot, but nothing hits like being in the middle of the movement.
Denver’s got a lot to offer, but if you really want to know the best spots, you gotta follow me or Qoncert. We stay tapped in with the culture, the music, and the real experiences that make the city what it is.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Man, first and foremost, family—the real ones who’ve been in my corner through everything. But beyond that, everyone I’ve crossed paths with, good or bad, because every experience, every win, and every loss counts toward the journey.
I gotta give a special shoutout to my brother King Tef—we built something from the ground up with Top Flite Empire, one of the most recognized hip-hop groups to come out of Denver. That grind taught me everything about resilience, business, and staying locked in on the vision. AJ Johnson, too—his mindset, his ability to make me sound great as an artist, and the way he moves have been a real inspiration in both life and business.
On the business side, 50 Cent and every entrepreneur who bootstrapped their way up—people who made something out of nothing. That’s the mentality I respect because I’ve lived it. As a Denver artist who built a full-time career off music, I know what it’s like to carve out your own lane when no one’s handing you a blueprint.
And I can’t forget the independent artist community. Y’all are the reason Qoncert even exists. I’ve been in those trenches, trying to find stages, trying to make the right moves, and that’s why I built something to help artists take control of their careers.
At the end of the day, every lesson, every setback, every risk—it all led me here. And I’m still just getting started.
