We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Norris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When starting Wild & Whimsy, it was in the heart of the pandemic, and I had a brand new baby at home! The easy choice would have been to wait and open when things “settle down”. But after many discussions with my mentors, spouse and many prayers, I came to the conclusion that opportunities like that don’t come around every day and I had to jump on the chance while I could! Especially because it was my dream salon location. I had to just go for it!

What should our readers know about your business?
Wild and Whimsy Beauty Co. is a salon oasis, nestled in the heart of midtown Fort Collins. From the moment you walk in the door, you can feel the difference! Every professional at Wild and Whimsy is their own individual business owner! We pride ourselves on encouraging one another to pursue passions, education and also balance with home life.  We are from many walks of life and all have different strengths, however we come together as one team to deliver the best service, professionalism, and energy that we can. At Wild and Whimsy, we believe in being fearlessly authentic, with genuine compassion in a space that is warm and inviting to anyone who walks through the door!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Fort Collins so I would definitely spend time in Old Town for shopping and restaurants! A day trip to Estes Park is always so relaxing and peaceful.
I also love activities like Fort Fun, TopGolf, or driving up Horsetooth for a picnic!
The breweries in Fort Collins are also a great way to spend the afternoons in the summertime!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people have supported me and encouraged me on this journey! I would like to dedicate my shout out to my parents, Steve and Tami Roskamp, as well as my husband, Derrick Norris and my good friend, Krysta Klinzmann.

This business would not even be a thought if it wasn’t for all of them!
