We had the good fortune of connecting with Britt Fowler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britt, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be thoughtful imagery, a narrative perspective into my life. I want people to remember me as an artist who tried their best to understand human life the condition.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a documentary-style approach – the moment as it happens. Preserved forever in an infinite loop. Life is both weird and beautiful, I capture it how it happens. To document the best of it, authentically. It’s easy in a sense, as love occurs around us every day. It’s joyful, painful, uniquely different… I’ve learned to accept it as it comes, to make the best of it. I want the world to understand that nothing is perfect. Perfect doesn’t exist. Love is messy and unique to each individual, Highs and lows. It doesn’t go as planned. Love is a fantastic human experience. It’s the brightest part of our condition. There is nothing more risky than giving ourselves to another person and trusting in them to keep it safe.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, I would likely take them out to a remote part of nature. A week long trip would include packing our own supplies, beer from the best brewery, food that can be cooked over an open fire. We would go kayaking, hiking and biking. Of course the city is neat and diverse, but there’s nothing quite like being out in nature. Suffering in some sense, possibly forgetting something important to our experience. Problem solving, a story to tell later and laugh about it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my partner, husband and best friend – Ambrose. Without him, I am nothing.
