We had the good fortune of connecting with Brodi Tomicic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brodi, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
It terms of an end goal, there really is no end for me, because every time I have achieved a goal my brain is thinking about what is next. What I have learned that works for me is finding a crazy goal or ideal that may not even be reached but that has a process I enjoy and that I feel brings meaning to the world. I plan on working until the day I die, but not because I have to, but because I want to, my work is meaningful and is having an impact on the world.
I am striving to be creating things of utility and purpose to the world whether that is through my creative work of photography, videography, graphic design or through the communities I am building to help people live life to the fullest. I know what I am going to do career wise will change and evolve as I age, but as long as all the work I am doing aligns with being impactful for others; that is what I am aiming for and I hope to have that impact on as many lives as I possible can give.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Right now I am doing in a few different things. Firstly, I am a partner with many others at a company called Hero Home and I am involved in the sales side of the company to help it grow as we started up last year in April of 2023. Then I currently building a community called Vivir which is a group of ambitious entrepreneurs, creatives, athletes or people with a dream where we host events to help them connect and give them the resources that they need to live life to the fullest.
Everything is still in the building stages, but the consistency and continually persistence has been what has made the difference to grow both things. And the beautiful part about all of it is the fact that as I grow personally, that as a natural byproduct both ventures in what I am doing grow too. And that has meant that I fail a lot.
I am still failing and I view failure differently now, because I strive to not attach that failure to my ego, but rather see it as a stepping stone to success. I believe that if I am intentional with all my failures and that I learn from them, then I will see success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to: – The mountains.
– Local cafes with pastries.
– Then go to a place called the plunj where you jump in an ice bath and sit in a sauna for an hour.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents are where the shoutout is deserved, because they have always pushed me to believe more in myself and what I am capable of. They helped set the example of how to do work even when you don’t feel like it. They supported my endeavors when I was young. When I hit a low they push me to keep going and to rise above life’s challenges. Because of them I have gotten this far.
