We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, what inspires you?
I am inspired by hard working moms who hold all of the emotional labor for their families, while working hard to find who they are again in the real world outside of the home. It inspires me when moms can wear all of the hats and still have such integrity, and do the best work possible.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have a massage therapy and skincare business; I am dedicated to offering educated and thorough services to my clients and following up to be sure they are feeling less stressed and able to move more comfortably. I worked in high end spas for nearly 14 years where the focus was so much on customer service and providing great services. I took that experience, working in resorts, and every position available to learn how to run a business flawlessly. I decided after taking a break from the industry to be with my children, that I was ready to go back into the field, but the circumstances didn’t really allow me to be back in the spa environment. In the beginning, I started to see a few clients in the comfort of their homes and when word of mouth became a huge source of my clientele, I began working so many nights and weekends. While I loved being with my clients, life got really hectic and I was always running. I was offered the opportunity to have a space again and offer all the luxury to my clients. I am incredibly thankful for the person who gave me this space to work with my clients and create a perfect environment while balancing work and life with a family.

Anyone, booking services with me should know that I have so much excellent experience in making people feel taken care of and relaxed while using my therapeutic studies to help them feel better in everyday life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Colorado I would pick her up at the Denver Airport, I’d Have a cabin in the mountains booked, probably in the silverthorne area. We would hike, walk, read books, drink wine, possibly visit a spa, have fresh pressed juices and relax. We would head back to the Springs for a few more days, we would see Pikes Peak, Walk the Garden of the Gods, we’d head back for lunch at the Viewhouse. We would have train ride booked at the royal gorge for a day. I really love the interquest area where my business is located so we would have apps at the atmosphere gastropub and a drink too! I am captured by the mountains, so wherever we can be in nature we would be happy.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to Dedicate this to my family, and to my friends especially those in the industry who have helped me in choosing the services, pricing, locations. My parents gave me advice and support when I was doubting the changes I was making, My husband has fully supported every decision I have made in starting a business, he worked to be flexible with his schedule to be there for my kids when I couldn’t. My kids always built me up when I had big and busy days, and they always appreciate how hard I’ve worked to get here.

Briana Wilmott believed in me and gave me a space to be my own for my business.

Allison Shoemaker has helped me in so many ways and helping me to bring my skincare passion back to life.

Muriel Watts has supported me and given me her expertise from being in the industry.

So many of my friends have shown support and love in getting this business running. I have felt so much love, thank you ALL.
