We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlin Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caitlin, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because art played a transformative role in my own healing journey. During my recovery, I discovered that creative expression gave me a sense of peace, self-discovery, and connection that I hadn’t found elsewhere. Art became more than just an outlet—it became a way to process emotions, build resilience, and reclaim my story.

Seeing how powerful this process was for me, I felt called to share it with others. I wanted to create a space where people, especially those in recovery or facing challenges, could experience the same sense of healing through creativity. That’s what led me to establish CaitSpace Ltd, where I offer creative healing through visual arts, performance, and community engagement. My goal is to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances, and to show that creativity can be a sanctuary for growth, healing, and self-expression.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The turning point for me in transforming my passion into a sustainable business model was realizing that while individuals may not always be able to afford services, organizations often can. I found that my mission evolved into two parts: providing healing art groups, and developing creative ways to secure funding so I could continue to offer low cost services and make an even bigger impact.

I partnered with organizations that could bill insurance, ensuring that people could access art-based healing without any costs, and this was possible because of my certifications in Therapeutic Arts and as a Peer and Family Specialist. In addition, I secured a fiscal sponsorship through Recover Simply, a local nonprofit, which opened up new avenues for grant funding. This pivot has allowed CaitSpace Ltd to thrive, sustain, and provide more offerings. With more offerings I was also able to bring in two new practitioners, Rob and Bex. These two along with me make up the CaitSpace Ltd Team and I am so thankful to have them sharing the vision with me.

On top of that, I introduced a paid service model at Edenology Holistic Wellness called Art as Sanctuary. This one-on-one therapeutic art session in enhanced by Bio-resonance voice scans, which help create a customized healing art plan that incorporates sound healing during creative sessions. Balancing the mission with financial sustainability wasnt easy, it’s taking a lot of learning, trial and error, and perseverance – but it’s this journey that has allowed CaitSpace Ltd to keep growing and expanding.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were taking a friend around the city, I’d definitely bring them to Old Colorado City! It has so much heart and character, with an abundance of art and artistic shops. It’s a place where creativity truly thrives. And, it is also home to Edenology Holistic Wellness, which is my main space for creative sessions. Edenology is also a hub for many amazing offerings including yoga, sound healing, meditation, moon ceremonies, and more! What I love most about it though, it the beautiful community of people who come together not just for my art groups, but to see and support one another. It is a place that feels like home and I always enjoy introducing others to its warmth and creativity.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate this shoutout to two incredible organizations that have been essential in bringing my vision to life. First, Recovery Simply, the nonprofit that became CaitSpace Ltd’s fiscal sponsor, has provided the support and infrastructure that allowed us to grow and make creative healing more accessible to those in recovery. Their partnership has been vital in opening doors to new opportunities and funding.

I also want to give a huge shoutout to Edenology Holistic Wellness. Their collaboration has amplified my art program, and their holistic approach to well-being aligns so well with the creative healing I aim to offer. They’ve helped take my work to new levels, and I am incredibly grateful for their ongoing support.
