We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb David and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleb, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Having the courage to fully step into my authentic self, and making the decision to come out as a gay man.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
David Commercial Real Estate is a brokerage firm that specializes in the Colorado Springs real estate market using our expertise and community relationships to make connections for businesses, developers and investors to succeed. We are most excited that with our combined experience and competence that we can guide our clients from sales and leasing to pre-development and asset disposition. Commercial real estate is a very difficult industry to break into and it takes commitment, market knowledge and fortitude to be able to best guide and support clients in a complex process. It is also hard for consumers and small businesses to approach, we focus on listening and educating throughout the journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I’d ask my friend to stay longer if at all possible because Colorado Springs has a lot to offer from the Olympic Museum, to Loyal Coffee, shopping at Yobel, a craft beer tour, sneak in a hike and then end with a musical evening and cocktails at Icons.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my children, Sakari and Huxley. I’m also so grateful for my siblings, family, and incredible friends.
