Meet Caleb Glenn | Landscape, Travel, and Real Estate Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caleb, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
It sounds cliche, but I actually didn’t choose a creative career, it kind of just chose me.
It was January of 2020, I had graduated a month prior from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Statistics, and was planning to work at a major television network in Atlanta doing data research for the sports division there. But in March of 2020, like most people, my career path changed quickly. Covid-19 ended that job possibility for me, so I started practicing photography during the lockdown. I took my entry level canon camera that I had received as a graduation gift, saw an opportunity and took it! My longtime dream of landscape photography was beginning to take shape.
From there, my wife and I traveled as much as we could, all the while I am honing my skills as a beginner photographer. The Covid-19 shutdown provided me with the best opportunity of my career up to this point. Once I felt confident in my body of work, I created my own business and then landed freelance work in real estate photography, which I am currently doing now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I will tell you a little about what inspires me to create.
My goal with photography is to capture the world around me and share the beauty that I see with those who are less fortunate to get out and travel. I believe that this art can inspire others to travel more as well. I come from a small town where most people live there their whole lives and never even leave the state, much less the country! My aim is to change that. I believe that God gave us an awesome world to explore and we won’t be here forever. Why not use the time that we have to travel and share those experiences that we have with others?
Another reason I create is for the love of the outdoors. Not much is better than being alone in nature with just a camera and the accompanying sounds that go with it. If you haven’t had this experience for yourself, I highly recommend it. Nature is so freeing and worry free. The adventure and the feeling that comes with it, well, it’s just my favorite.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well living in Atlanta, Georgia there is no shortage of things to do. But I will come up with a little itinerary for us.
Monday: First thing’s first when I pick you up from the airport, we are going straight to THE original Chick-Fil-A.
The rest of the day:
-ride bikes on the Beltline, grab a snack at Krog Street Market and end playing frisbee at Piedmont park
-for the evening we will shop, explore at Ponce City Market and end on the rooftop bar for food and drinks
Tuesday:
-original Waffle House in Avondale Estates to tour and eat breakfast and shop downtown Avondale
-Eat at Arepa Mia’s for arepas and empanadas for lunch
-Afternoon we will explore cultures: either the Dekalb or Buford Highway Farmer’s Markets and then grab dinner nearby. There are great ethnic foods to eat anywhere on Buford Highway
Wednesday:
-I love the Blue Ridge mountains and there are really fun mountain towns not too far from ATL. We will go to the German town of Helen and spend a day there exploring.
Thursday:
-We hike either Blood Mountain or at Amicalola Falls State Park and we have to do at least a small section of the Appalachian Trail! It’s a must. Especially in the fall, the leaves are gorgeous. Two other great options are Tallulah Gorge State Park and Cloudland Canyon State Parks. Both are my favorites in the state, just a little farther drive than the other options.
Friday:
-We will return to Atlanta for your last few days and this day we explore downtown Atlanta. Go to Olympic Park and then tour the World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium (the best I have ever been to) and then the College Football Hall of Fame. If we have the time we can also see the High Museum of Art too. They always have incredible seasonal displays.
We can either eat at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Antico’s Pizza or The Vortex for Burgers for dinner.
Lastly, end the day on a big high at the Fox Theater catching a legendary act.
That’s it thanks for tagging along in Atlanta, Georgia!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Where I am today would not possible without the support from my wife, Hanna. She has been there every step of the way and she is also my biggest fan and cheerleader. Whatever I put my mind too, she is always encouraging me and pushing me to do my best. She is also my best friend.
Lastly, I want to shoutout my parents. They saw the creative in me before I even saw it myself. They instilled a love of travel in me as a child and provided and equipped me with the best opportunities for success as I grew up. My parents are also responsible for guiding me in my faith in Christ, which I would claim is the most important thing in my life. Not to mention they are the ones who bought me my first camera! Thanks Mom and Dad!
