We had the good fortune of connecting with Camille Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Camille, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
If you’re not doing what you love, you’re not really living!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love being able to share my visions and designs with others in wearable fashion. I am most proud about making it this far mainly being self taught with running a business and designing. There are no entrepreneurs, business owners, or bosses in my immediate family. I’ve learned to ask for help or research to overcome challenges. Being a single mom and business owner is not for the weak. I’ve learned delegation can play a big part in having some success and that I do not have to do everything myself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In no specific order, places I would take someone who is visiting would be 4 play Kitchen and Cocktails, Mimosas, Denver Biscut Co, Blazin Chicken Shack, Qs Cuisine, Walton Street Cafe, and order from La’Krave as for food. For entertainment, any popular comedian who might be coming to the Improve or artist who may have a concert. We would visit local events similar to the Juneteenth or the Black Arts Festival. We would also go watch the Nuggets, Rockies, or Broncos play depending on the season

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say my grandma, my brother, my uncle, and my kids. My late grandma was my everything. She provided support, a little bit of mentorship, guidance, and was always there since birth. My uncle and brother have always supported me and now that my grandma is no longer here, they help keep myself grounded. My kids are a big part of my why. I know they are always watching, supporting, and providing that unconditional love.
