We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Rajewich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
As a working mom operating my business from home with three little ones in tow, I’ve come to the conclusion there is no such thing as work-life balance. And I often wonder if it’s got to be one of the most overrated ideas sold to working women raising a family. When I began to operate from a place of rhythms I was better able to adjust how and when I showed up for those I love. Growing a family and a business has its own natural patterns and when I stopped interjecting my deadlines (within reason of course) the internal grind to keep everything up and running constantly, shifted. Don’t get me wrong I work off a calendar and the clock still guides my day, but the natural rhythm of interruptions to my desired outcome to have this idea of balance no longer exists. Some things just have to take a back seat and others must be a priority, especially when we are dealing with life which mostly consists of little and big humans.

What should our readers know about your business?
I teach women go-getters how to make friends with their finances so they can own their worth and live out their bravest stories. And how I got here wasn’t easy, by far. Along the way, I learned how to let go of $50,000 of debt through the painful experience of bankruptcy and through the process of paying off another $50,000 of debt dollar by dollar. I overcame a lot of my challenges by getting laser-focused on my goals, successfully leveraging what little disposable income I had, and learning that you can indeed build a business on a shoestring budget.

To the woman casting her big vision out into the world, I believe in your ability to build it out debt-free!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve been so fortunate to get to spend the last decade of my life here in Southern California, where it boasts a variety of landscapes and activities to those looking to catch a break from the pressure and overwhelm of the daily hustle. With inviting weather almost year-round you could take a drive to New Port Beach to enjoy a yummy brunch right on the water at SOL Mexican Cuisine and afterward watch the sailboats dock or take a walk on the beach. Enjoy wine or breweries? Choose from a variety of wineries, breweries, and distilleries in the gorgeous wine country of the Temecula Valley, or enjoy a day’s hike along any of the coastlines or mountain ranges. There’s really just so much to do!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Over the last three years, the Kathi Lipp Team has had the most direct impact on the day-to-day, practical steps of how I manage and grow my business. Kathi’s heart to mentor Christian women leaders is truly remarkable. Hands down she has helped cultivate who I am as a leader and serve those I work with.
