We had the good fortune of connecting with Cat Tatman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cat, what do you attribute your success to?
First an foremost, our products deliver results…if our products didn’t work we would not be successful. But also….Mary (my fellow co-founder) and I really love and believe in what we do. We are incredibly hands on and love interacting with our customers and staying in touch with their needs. Skincare is also a very dynamic industry, so we are constantly learning which is always fun.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
There are many things that we at IE are excited and proud of. Most importantly is the efficacy of our formulas. Our commitment to providing skin care products that restore, heal and protected is our main goal. In addition, we are extremely affordable allowing the consumer to introduce several new products into their skincare regime. After a decade in the financial industry and now over 2 decades in the beauty industry one must be open to new ideas and be flexible with co-workers. I strongly encourage reading books that emphasize business acumen and team building. As the saying goes “you only get what you give”. So if you are willing to invest (both mentally and financially) into your future you will have a sharper edge to be successful. We strive to provide an exceptional experience for the end user coupled with the performance of our products and to be available to guide and educate when requested. Customer service seems to be a lost art however we do pride ourselves on being supportive to our customer.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are all looking forward to our fair city fully opening up. I am a real fan of the arts. The Buell, Fiddlers Green, and the many museums are my favorite activities. I just discovered “The Green Collective Eatery”. A healthy, clean breakfast and lunch menu that is beautifully presented (almost like a piece of art). Red Rocks is a must for any first time visitor to Colorado. The magnificence of the theater and view to downtown is memorable. Next stop would be RINO – so many great restaurants options with outdoor patios to relax and catch up.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would have to say Mary Butler my fellow co-founder. Before starting Intelligent Elixirs, we worked together for about 11 years – we worked well together and had a lot of success. I have learned a lot from Mary over the years and still do to this day. We evaluate and approach things differently. A different point of view can be so beneficial, it helps you stay open to new ideas,
