We had the good fortune of connecting with Charles Cox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charles, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I think early on I decided to approach each day like it was brand new. As a younger guy, I would dwell on failures or setbacks, literally dragging my failures and setbacks along with me. Each day not only did I have to conquer the day but I did so trying to get over the juggle all the baggage I carried along with me. The most important decision I ever came to was that I get up and face today’s challenges. Not every day is filled with ‘wins’ but I would focus on the wins and use them as momentum moving forward. My mantra “That was then, this is now”

What should our readers know about your business?
I have worked as a psychic medium for years in the Denver area. In 2009, I started the Denver Psychic Development Meetup Group which quickly became one of the largest groups of its kind in the world. I thrived as the primary teacher of weekly events of which 12,000+ people have attended since. What I learned was that many people had similar spiritual interests as myself, so the classes were geared for learning but in a fun environment. Today the events are still going strong as I meet new students all the time. I believe everyone is psychic, and has intuitive abilities. The trick is discovering how you already use your skills and then how to access that ability on-demand. If you have ever felt like you are apart of something bigger, then you will love these events.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Goddess Isis Books and Discover Your Spiritual Gifts to go New Age shopping. I would take them to Mother Cabrini Shrine to feel the powerful healing energy there. Everyone should see Red Rocks Amphitheater at least once, so that’s on the list. Next, we would visit Holy Ghost Cathedral downtown. There is a powerful presence about this place, although at the epicenter of urban life, the interior of the church is so quiet and peaceful. There is a powerful healing presence here as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I was introduced to Sunset Spiritualist Church in 1988. I was a young medium, wanting to further develop my skills. The community there embraced me and eventually welcomed me as a minister in their church in 1991. The organization itself supported me and encouraged me on my path. At first blush that may not sound like a lot but working with such an established organization gave me a place to hone my skills not only as a medium but as a minister and a teacher. I served in this capacity for 30 years when I retired in 2021. I cannot imagine where my life would be without the love and support of not only the governing body of the church but of the entire community over all these years.
