Meet Chartashia Miller | MSOL/Black Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chartashia Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chartashia, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
I am enough. I t reminds me that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. When I see this affirmation I see the boldness, perseverance, and strength of a woman I am.

What should our readers know about your business?
Chartashia Miller grew up in East St. Louis, Illinois and later made Colorado her home. She found ways to mentor young adults through her roles as Choir Director for the Youth Choir, the Young Adults Choir and the Mass Choir at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Chartashia is the mother of one son Donnell Alexander Jr. who is the first to show her how much giving back is needed. Chartashia Miller has had a tremendous impact in the Aurora Community, as well as the Denver Community, especially on the youth and young adult population.

Since coming to Colorado, Chartashia has made it her mission to help provide support for students from similar backgrounds. First she equipped herself by completing her Associates Degree in Applied Science and Management at Community College of Aurora and then her Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Organizational Leadership at Regis University. As a member of For His Glory Fellowship Church she is active in the Women’s Empowerment Ministry, the Prayer team and the Nursing Home Ministry. She is an officer of the Aurora Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Aurora Branch since 2016, she served as assistant secretary from October 2015-January 2015; she also serves as Advisor to their Youth Council since 2021. Chartashia is the Secretary of the Colorado/Montana/Wyoming State Conference(RMNAACP) of the NAACP. In the past she served as assistant secretary and secretary of the Regional conference July 2019 and 2020.

Chartashia is a graduate of the Cherry Creek Leadership Program, the Urban Leadership Foundation Program, and the African Leadership Group Public Speaking Program. She holds various leadership roles for the Aurora MLK Jr. Committee, as well as the Denver Holiday Commission, and an Ambassador of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.

Chartashia is the current business owner of TT Coaching With Results since 2017. Chartashia coaches on resume writing, career building, and life skills for anyone starting at age 12 and up in a three week workshop style in person and virtual. Her business motto is: Bringing back the village to ensure you have a chance to get an interview and understand life skills that’s not taught in a classroom. Her goal is to reach as many young people as possible from communities that don’t have easy access to this kind of support.

Chartashia serves on the board as Chair for Struggle of Love Foundation since October 2021, she also served as Advisor from 2018-2021 and has been serving as a volunteer for over ten years, also partnering annually since 2018 giving back to the community toiletries during their Thanksgiving food drive.

Chartashia is the founder of a social group that she started in 2009 which is named (TGL) Touch & Go Ladies with 7 ladies in the group

Being a business owner is not easy because there are times you will have no revenue. I overcome challenges by finding ways to enhance other services and connecting with other business owners to help support my vision. I am here to help the youth in my community and across the world to have a chance to interview well, and get the career they wish to have. I will coach on basic life skills to get them through challenges they may face in becoming an adult.

I am still growing my business and I continue to educate myself, connect with like minded business professionals, take free trainings to keep me abreast of updated business factors, and volunteer in many capacities in my community because it is important to give back.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we would start out at my place making sure my BFF is comfortable and has a place to call home while visiting. I would cook a meal to fill our stomach with soul food and wine. We would visit the mountains, go to church, play some games, talk about life, family, and set goals for the next trip.
