Meet Chef Aric & Yukari Bianchi | Personal Chef & his assistant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chef Aric & Yukari Bianchi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chef Aric & Yukari, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Yukari: In April 2020, during the peak of the pandemic, Aric and I had just returned to Colorado from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where we had lived for two and a half years. We had already started our personal chef business in Puerto Vallarta and wanted to continue doing what we love in Colorado.
Aric: I had three jobs, while Yukari had two to support us as we built the business. But it was worth it.
Yukari: I truly believe in the product we offer. Thanks to Aric’s talent and years of experience as a cook, I knew we had the best service for our clients.
Aric: Yukari is an incredibly hard-working woman. She manages all the social media, blogging, marketing research, and advertising, and she also helps me prepare our clients’ meals for weekly meal prep and private dinner parties.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Aric: I worked in many restaurants and used them as my culinary school. Each place taught me skills, techniques, and a work ethic. I also learned what type of chef I wanted to be, what kind of food attracted me, and how to make my ideas a reality. Working in professional kitchens is hard. It’s long hours of standing in a confined hot area, and I still have nightmares of the ticket machine ticking non-stop. I lived the TV show “The Bear” in real life. Now, I’m proud of making people happy with my own food.
Yukari: Our messages to our clients are always the same. Our ingredients for making plates for our clients, whether for private dinner parties, weekly meal prep, in-home cooking classes, or virtual cooking classes, are always the same: Salt, Pepper, and a Little Bit of Love. We craft their plates with pieces of our hearts every time.
Aric: We believe “Food brings long-lasting friendship and love to the table, with U & I.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Aric: I’d take them to Mount Blue Sky (previously named Mt. Evans) for mushrooms forged in the morning, stop by at Red Rocks, grab a drink, and shoot some pool at Velvet Banjo in the evening.
Yukari: I’d spend a day in Estes Park, go around the Rocky Mountain National Park, and stop by “Peppercorn” in Boulder for kitchen gadgets and cooking book shopping, come home, and let Aric cook a five-course dinner.
Aric: We could take them to the Garden of the God, Great Sand Dune, and Dinasour Ridge.
Yukari: Don’t forget the Avalanche game, too!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yukari: We have many people to thank whom we call our “extended family.” They supported us during our struggles to build the business and celebrated our successes with us. We are truly grateful for our long-time and new friends who became our friends through our services. Our company wouldn’t be successful without their support.
Aric: I greatly appreciated all the dedicated individuals in the restaurant industry who taught us to create our own path.
