We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelle Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelle, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks is an important part of creating your version of success. When you know in your soul that you need to do something, you have to put faith over fear.

Being an entrepreneur is hard. I have had to put faith over fear many times, but it has always been worth it.

Moving from a corporate environment with a stable income and benefits is not easy. Growing a business during Covid, and in a talent market that has had unprecedented change has required resilience and grit.

I’m very lucky to have found other amazing women entrepreneurs and coaches who have cheered me on, lifted me up when I doubted myself, and provided wisdom and advice to help me make the right decisions for my business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Deep relationships and extraordinary results are the art and soul of my business. I am a global HR executive and industry insider. A former corporate talent acquisition director. A connector and change-maker. A heart-centered, soul-inspired global citizen. A diversity, equity, inclusion ally.

I believe engaging with my clients authentically and transparently is the best way to positively influence outcomes. Unleashing the incredible potential that lies within every human being is what gets me up in the morning. I absolutely love what I do.

I have taken 80+ people through the Positive Intelligence program, and have seen amazing pivots and transformations in many of my clients. Most of my Executive Career Coaching clients find their roles through the hidden job market, and as a “Master Connector” it’s my pleasure to introduce great people to other great people.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would spend 3 days in the Denver area, and I’d take them to Red Rocks, Coors Factory, the Botanical Gardens, Evergreen, and to one of the lakes for paddle boarding. We’d go to Ace Eat Serve to eat awesome chinese food and play ping pong. We’d see a Denver Nuggets basketball game and eat at Rioja in Larimer Square.

We’d go to Glenwood Springs for a few days and enjoy Iron Mountain and the Glenwood Hot Springs, then to Aspen to see and hike at the Maroon Bells.

We’d also do a Zumba class or 2 with my friends in Highlands Ranch and eat at Total Vegan Indian Restaurant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many resources, groups, and organizations for women entrepreneurs that have made my success possible. Groups like SecondAct Women, the Dames, Kami Guildner Coaching, Women’s Leadership Foundation, Corporate Board Bound, SistahBiz, New Community Transformation Fund, Latina Lideres y Emprendedoras, and so many many more.
