Meet Christa Estelle | Digital Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christa Estelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christa, how do you think about risk?
Risk is scary to most people, but I find it exhilarating. I’m one of those weird people who loves change. In order to take a risk, you need to make a change. To me, staying stagnant is the scariest thing. For example, I’m in the middle of moving from Chicago, IL to Charleston, SC because I need a change. It is a huge risk as I’m moving on my own, but at the same time, it is very exciting! When it comes to business and my personal life, I really try to say yes to things. Maybe it won’t work out, but that’s what creates great adventures and stories.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always been someone who is creative and thought a little differently. I never dreamed of having a nine to five job. I have been there, done that, and I was right that it does not fit who I am. I realized in order to have the life and career that I want, I would have to create my own opportunities.
I am in the beginning stages of entrepreneurship so my income includes side jobs as well as my own business. I can’t wait for the day that I am just focusing on that.
My brand is successful because of my dedication to taking the time every day to work towards my goals. On top of working, I take my time to learn, try new things and I am open to feedback.
It’s definitely a journey with a lot of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t want to do anything else!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in heart of Chicago in a wonderful neighborhood called Gold Coast. I am so lucky to be surrounded by wonderful restaurants, all kinds of entertainment and the beautiful Lake Michigan.
During the day we would go to the farmers market on Division or in Lincoln Park and walk on the lake shore path. Grab brunch inside of Restoration Hardware at Three Arts Cafe. It’s magical in there and has wonderful food and decor!
We would grab a drink at Tavern on Rush or LuxBar and then go to dinner at Blue Door which is Michelin star rated. For entertainment we would go to The Drifter, which is a Speakeasy underneath the famous Green Door Tavern or go to the Redhead Piano Bar to sing along to the live music. End the evening with a night cap at Sparrow, which has amazing cocktails.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents, Connie and Wayne Herrick and my sister Alyssa Priest!
My family has always encouraged me to be my true self and to pursue anything that I want to do. Family is very important to me, and they helped give me the confidence that I have now.
