We had the good fortune of connecting with Claire Ewing and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Claire, what role has risk played in your life or career?
A little outside the box of a typical “Denver” story – but thought this would be a beautiful one to share about how the Denver market was my jump off point for a beautiful journey that have led us to the mountains right outside of Vail. I have always been a connector – through fitness and branding. From 2014 to 2019 I was a senior instructor at CorePower Yoga teaching over 1000 classes and a National Marketing Manager for the brand. It was an incredibly powerful experience – I got to travel and open over 50 studios across the nation, create brand partnerships with REI and market the largest national boutique fitness brand there was to date. It led me to become a lululemon ambassador and travel all over for lululemon the last two years. But there was always something missing. My husband and I are lovers of the great outdoors, and I have always thought what if? What if I created my own business and I was the bad ass mountain Mama I always envisioned. In October of 2019 we decide to jump and do it. We quit our jobs, sold our house and moved our now three year old to the mountains. I started my own business – Claire Ewing, Brand and Body Fit. I have supporting 10+ female based clients here in the mountains over the last year, and I have built my own personal yoga clientle and teaching retreats from here in Vail to Mexico. I want to share how Denver, CorePower Yoga and the market jumpstarted where I am today. It’s scary and real to make a leap – and I want to have people believe in their dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
I specialize in getting your brand and body fit. It took me a long time to get here and recognize the synergy between branding and movement of the body. – Brand Fit: I have ten years of marketing experience from PR, event marketing to social media. I planned large scale events like Yoga on the Rocks to running your Instagram posts behind the scenes. I am helping support small to medium businesses here in the valley with all sorts of marketing needs on the hourly and monthly retainer basis. – Body Fit: I am a 6+ year yoga and fitness instructor. I specialize in teaching power yoga and yoga sculpt. I teach private clients in my basement studio and through my online platform. I am also a long distance runner and training for my 5th marathon right now. This is more than your physical body, but how movement is healing for your mental and emotional state. I believe that getting your brand right (who you truly authentically are) and getting your body right (feeling powerfully confident in who you are) leads to the unlock of success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since moving to the mountains, these are my favorite things to come back and do in the city: – Walk or run around Wash Park – Go to class at Barre3, Fierce45 and Duality – Breakfast at Urban Egg The Denver fitness scene has my heart so I suggest anyone to try out all the amazing local fitness businesses

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is to my sister, Laura. Laura is my little sister but my biggest motivator. Laura and I came from a broke home, but that created the strongest bond and support system. We can do hard things is a mantra that has been engrained in us from a young age – and encouraged us both to take entrepreneurial paths in our careers. Laura has fully supported ever me in ever big leap in life – including our biggest leap here to Vail.
