We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Jeffries and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for WebTactics came after years of tinkering and building websites for smaller projects, my local church, and other business ventures I started. After working with my first few clients, I found that there was a gap between simply having a website and the crazy large-scale marketing techniques you see on social media. More often than not, I found that the typical business owner either lacks the knowledge or time required to implement even a simple marketing strategy. This is the gap that WebTactics was created to sit in. Combining great websites with a simple and effective marketing strategy creates the perfect combo to bring a business more customer activity online.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One of the most defining pieces of my business is my care for other business owners. I have always felt they had been left in an awkward gap and no one wants to work with them for various reasons. It is one of the reasons I’ve recently restructured how I offer my services. Right now, I’m piloting a new service (very exciting as well) that gets business owners a website built in a single day (maybe two if needed) using a proven framework that simplifies their message and ultimately gets them more customer activity on their website.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Depending on the time of year, I would likely take them hiking and dining at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Might even take a little detour over to the Mesa Cliff dwelling. I love that kind of stuff.

I would also take them Downtown to see anything and everything we could. Union Station and Snooze AM Eatery would be on the top of my list there. Followed by a quick journey to the Oxford Hotel to be in awe of the woodwork and the speakeasy there.

A trip to Lookout Mountain is always a joy looking over the city at the beautiful creation we live in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are quite a few people I can contribute my success to. However, there are two individuals I know that without them, I would not be who I am and where I am now if I did not have their support.

The first one I’d like to mention is my wife. She has walked through every business idea that didn’t stick right along with me. She supported me through ideation all the way to closing up shop. Through everything, she remained steadfast and faithful that I would find the business idea that stuck.

Lastly, I owe all the credit for my success and my life to God. With Him and through Him, I am blessed beyond measure.
