We had the good fortune of connecting with Daley Krom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daley, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I always thought I’d be a stay-at-home mom, but life had other plans for my husband and me about 10 years ago. It became clear that I needed to step into the workforce, and I knew I had to find something that would still allow me to be present in my children’s lives.

When I started my business, like most entrepreneurs, I jumped in headfirst and gave it everything I had. At the time, I was working a full-time job while trying to get my business off the ground on a part-time schedule. For about 2.5 years, I sacrificed a lot—missing dinners, bedtimes, and enduring long days of networking and building relationships.

Eventually, my hard work paid off, and my business grew to the point where I could leave my full-time job and focus solely on my company. Over the last 7.5 years, I haven’t missed a single dinner, bedtime, or football game.

Looking back, I realize that achieving balance required making tough sacrifices early on to create the life I have today. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I help individuals and families protect what matters most—their financial future. My work is centered on shielding clients from market loss, providing living benefits that offer security in life’s toughest moments, and creating tax-saving strategies that build long-term wealth. But at the heart of everything I do is one key principle: relationships.

What sets me apart is my belief that financial success is deeply personal. I don’t just provide solutions; I build lasting relationships based on trust, education, and mutual respect. Every conversation with a client starts with understanding their unique needs and goals. From there, we work together to create a plan that not only protects their financial future but gives them confidence in their decisions. Watching my clients achieve peace of mind, knowing they’re prepared for whatever life brings, is the most rewarding part of my career.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Ten years ago, I found myself at a crossroads, needing a career that could support my family while allowing me to remain present for my two young boys. I began building my business while working a full-time job, pouring my heart into networking, connecting with people, and fostering relationships. Over time, those connections blossomed into a strong foundation for my business. My journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, authenticity, and the value of relationships.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are that success is never achieved alone and that relationships are the cornerstone of any business. My greatest growth came not from transactions but from cultivating meaningful, long-term connections with clients, colleagues, and mentors. These relationships have not only helped my business thrive but have also inspired personal growth, pushing me to be better every day.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on genuine connection and service. My mission is to empower people with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their future. I don’t just help my clients achieve financial stability—I build relationships that last a lifetime, ensuring they feel supported and valued every step of the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d want to show them everything that makes life here so special—great food, breathtaking views, and unforgettable experiences. Here’s the ultimate itinerary for their visit:

Day 1: Local Comforts
We’d start with breakfast at Doug’s Diner, where the hearty portions and best bacon in town would make for a perfect introduction to Colorado. Afterward, we’d take a leisurely stroll along a nearby trail to soak in the scenery. Dinner would be at Blackbelly in Boulder, known for its impeccable farm-to-table dishes and cozy yet elevated vibe.

Day 2: Mountain Getaway in Breckenridge
A trip to Breckenridge is a must! We’d head to my condo on Peak 8, unwind in the hot tub and grotto, and spend the day exploring downtown Breckenridge. From boutique shopping to sampling local brews at Breckenridge Brewery, it’s the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Dinner would be somewhere like Rootstalk, where mountain flavors meet fine dining.

Day 3: Lake Life Escape
Lake life is the best life, so we’d spend a relaxing day at Jackson Lake at my husband’s family lake house. Whether it’s paddleboarding, swimming, or lounging on the beach with a cold drink, it’s the perfect way to unwind and soak up the summer vibes. We’d take out the boat for some tubing or wakeboarding and enjoy the simple joy of being on the water.

As the day winds down, we’d fire up the grill for a big family dinner, sharing snappy stories . To wrap up the evening, we’d gather around fire pit, making s’mores and gazing at the stars—pure lake life magic.

Day 4: City Fun in Denver
We’d venture into Denver to explore its urban charm. Breakfast at Snooze AM Eatery, followed by a walk through RiNo’s street art district. Lunch would be tacos at Los Chingones, and we’d hit The Denver Art Museum or Meow Wolf for some interactive fun. Dinner at El Five—their tapas and unbeatable rooftop views—would wrap up the day, followed by cocktails at Williams & Graham, a hidden speakeasy.

Day 5: Breweries & Red Rocks
A Colorado brewery tour is a must! We’d start at Coors Brewery in Golden and then hit spots like Mountain Toad and New Terrain Brewing Company. The day would end with live music at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a magical Colorado experience.

Day 6: Rocky Mountain Adventure
We’d take a day trip to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. A morning hike, wildlife spotting, and a picnic by the lake would be highlights. Afterward, we’d have dinner at The Stanley Hotel, a historic and slightly spooky spot with amazing food and atmosphere.

Day 7: Farewell Brunch
On the last morning, we’d return to Doug’s Diner for one final breakfast to savor the week’s memories. The rest of the day would be spent relaxing at home with cocktails on the patio, soaking in mountain views and reflecting on the adventures.

With this itinerary, my best friend would leave with a full heart, a happy stomach, and memories of Colorado’s unique charm. From lake days to mountain escapes, we’d create unforgettable moments together.
