We had the good fortune of connecting with Dana Suazo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am a fourth-generation Colorado native and proud of it. I feel Colorado is part of my soul; loyal, honest, and generous. People describe me as having a presence of peace and harmony. I embrace the concept that we should all be compassionate, kind, and humble to those around us because we are all here to help each other grow and flourish. I fully embrace that we are all at the same level, where no one person is below or above the other.

To begin where I started, I had to know what I wanted to build. I am a connector, an intuitive energy healer, Reiki Master and Seraphic Practitioner. I hope for a society that is more inclusive and empathetic to all, a community that embraces those who are different rather than alienating them. I help people reach higher, creating a kinder, more caring world. Helping people is enormously gratifying to me.

I always say, “By giving each other a helping hand, we can create positive energy in the world that ripples infinitely outward.” I assist others in their awakening to become more enlightened as most people can feel isolated and alone at times during the process. By studying the concept of mindfulness, I am driven to help myself and others to live more peaceful lives. I strive to live in a state of complete embodiment to develop an unshakeable core that isn’t affected by outside factors and stresses. This is why I am an energy healer. Do I sometimes falter? Of course, I do. I am human. As long as we learn and grow from the lessons, that is what’s important. By sharing experiences, we can teach and help others.

Growing up, I always felt alone or like I did not belong even though I grew up in a loving family. I would tell my mother that I felt like the black sheep of the family. At a young age I started labeling myself as the black sheep. I could always read people, and I had a very strong inner knowledge. I chalked this up to common sense or street smarts. It was not until I had a child of my own, who had the same experiences as me, feeling alone, getting bullied, etc., that I realized there is something more to be explored.  So, I started connecting and listening to different teachers and experts, and it helped me to discover my true potential and helped me to create my “tribe”.

I am a Reiki Master, and I am in the process of creating my own curriculum, so that I can teach and empower young ones to learn energy healing. Having been a troubled teen myself, I really want to help younger generations. As a teen, it wasn’t until I read an article my mom gave me that I realized suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. When you are in that deep dark despair of not belonging, things feel like they are never going to get better. Whether it’s a few days, a week, a month, or a couple of years, in the end, the problems are temporary. Empowering young ones, will only continue to help create that ripple effect that is very much needed in these times.

Another part of my gift is that I am a connector. I am always keeping my eye out for “everybody wins” situations. This inspires and fulfills me in many ways. I know it is my truth that I have been guided to where I am. I stepped into learning, believing, and loving the abilities gifted to me to share with others. I know that this is my forever path. This is my opportunity to be available for others whenever they need it. I have answered my calling and stand by my soul’s purpose every day. There is no one I would not help. I am grateful to hold and share this healing and love and be able to give it to anyone who needs and wants it. This is my blessing to share with others. This is the purpose behind my business.

When I’m not working to enlighten and share my gifts with others, I also participate in fitness activities such as yoga and dance classes. I love concerts, especially at Red Rocks. There is something magical about concerts at Red Rocks. I meditate daily and adore nature hikes with my dog and being fully present and in the moment, wherever that I am.

Namaste!
Dana Suazo

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My greatest challenge was myself. Stepping into my confidence of accepting my gifts that I have been blessed with to heal. Now that I know my path I am excited to be on this journey to share with anyone and everyone. I am passionate about helping people and it gives me joy. It fulfills my purpose to be a connector. Guiding people to the people they need to connect with depending on the situation or the place they are at in their journey. Once they are where they need to be and I see how happy they are, that is the golden ticket for me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Red Rocks would be first on the list. I grew up by Red Rocks. It is a great place to go. Whether a concert, hiking or walking on trails. It is truly my happy place. It is also my best friend’s happy place. Favorite places for a meal would be the Capital Grille or Ocean Prime. Anywhere with a patio in downtown Denver is a fun place to be, where you can do a little people watching. Union Station has become a great place to hang out as well, with all of the new and fun restaurants they have put in there. When we go up to the mountains, we still honk the horn in the Veterans Memorial tunnel, as all natives do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all my husband deserves the most credit as he has been my biggest supporter both emotionally and financially to step into my path. All of the members of The Inner Wisdom Community, as they are all light workers that were a little further in their path. They individually led me to different teachers, teachings and mentors. There is also a group of lightworkers at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Arvada that have taught, mentored and guided me. I have over the last couple of years gained new friends and new insights each time I take a class in the community here. I am amazed at the spiritual community in Arvada and North Denver. We are really in the process of creating a new community at the Rocky Mountain Pilates & Yoga studio. We have light workers that are yoga instructors, who do sound bath meditations, who do Seraphic guided meditations and Full and New Moon Ceremonies. Taylor Howe, the owner there has been very supportive in helping us to create a wonderful and supportive community there.
