Meet Dylan Wilkerson | Personal Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan Wilkerson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dylan, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Ultimately the end goal is to help and motivate as many individuals as I can!!
I try my hardest to really make finding themselves a huge part of my practice. I feel as though we’re always moving through the hassle and bustle of things with life, love m, friends etc that we forget who we truly are.
I would love to be able to simply support my family with my passion for fitness! I have been a certified coach for close to a year and a half now and have loved every minute. I am looking or get my certification in nutrition as well so I can also help people with their diets!!
While on this journey I hope to continue to learn not only about myself but how to continue to help others in different ways.
Whether that be through just being ourselves and or a new form of exercise, I’m excited and always looking forward to it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I truly love bringing to the table is just being yourself and finding your true self. I feel that gets lost in a lot of today as society and it’s very sad. People are so wrapped up in what others are doing they forget to be themselves genuinely and put on a mask or act. When I knew I first wanted to work for myself I already knew it wasn’t going to be easy.. I’d basically be doing EVERYTHING myself and I had no idea what I was doing… and still don’t.
When I started writing my 60 Day Goal Crushing Program I thought it was gonna be cake and d fly right though it… nope. It took me close to 3-4 months to write that puppy. My first piece of workout material….and I didn’t sell but 2. It hurt but oh man it felt SO GOOD to have made something of my own!!
I haven’t written another guide since but have started trying to write personal plans instead is something so broad for someone to follow. I went through many ups and downs, hours hunched over my computer, numerous breaks so I didn’t get burnt out.. it was an adventure and I’d do it all over again.
Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way are never stop believing in yourself, don’t care what others think, and do what truly makes you happy… if someone would’ve told me these were the important things I would’ve probably had a little less stress. I am thankful for every second of my journey and wouldn’t have it any other way to be completely honest though.
I am me. I am the most transparent with my followers and clients and I believe that’s looked over by a lot. I feel as though a lot of people who want to get in shape of-course look at what the coach looks like and bases it off of that and of-course work ethic and other important features.
I not only am myself but I help you remember what it’s like to be you before the bullshit of society brsinwashed us…
We love our bodies
We love our smiles
We love our laughs
We love our trials
We love everything we go through
For if we didn’t we wouldn’t know what to do
Gotta take a second to take it in
Cause just like that it could end

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d wake up in the morning and go have breakfast at City O City… best vegan chicken and waffles around so good. Then we’d probably go walk around a few malls and grab lunch at Gladys in the Edgewater Market.
After lunch we’d probably head to a nail salon and get out nails done before heading out to dinner.
We’d grab dinner at Somebody People cause they have some of the best vegan dinner dishes around!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh man I wanna shout out my parents and partner. Without the i’d be so lost and definitely not where I am now!
Meeting my partner was a huge influential masterpiece within itself… he is a few years older than me and grew up in a totally different way than I did. He’s helped me through so much trauma and learning and I am so grateful.
My parents have been nothing but the best support since day 1. They can truly see how happy I am and how I love helping others. They’ve never once doubted me and have taught me so much that I use on the daily to make the best decisions that I can.
Again without these three, I’d be so lifeless and have no urge or want to do anything.
All because they care and support me I know I can do anything!
