We had the good fortune of connecting with Edna Lugo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking plays a huge role when owning your own business. If you’re like me it feels like everything is a risk. Am I making the right choices, doing the right things to grow my business? It can be scary and uncomfortable and almost feel impossible some days. I try not to overthink it anymore and look at risks as opportunities to learn and grow. Great things never come from staying in your comfort zone!

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been doing professional home organizing for over a year now in Denver. I love helping busy professionals and families create spaces in their homes to help them get through their day to day lives.

I meet you where you’re at in your journey with organizing. It can feel overwhelming and stressful. I’m there to help lessen the stress and do my job to make this process as easy as possible!

I’m most proud of the reactions I get from my clients when I complete a job. I love that I get to help people while doing something I really enjoy. I’m proud of all the things I’ve done to build my business and the relationships I’ve built along the way.

There’s so much more that I want to do and there have been many times that I’ve felt like I was doing it wrong or not doing enough, especially when business slows down. The imposter syndrome and all the insecurities and stresses start to roll in and my anxiety loves to shine during these moments. I breathe, I go for a walk, dance and I remember that I’m doing the work and have learned that these things take time and to celebrate the little wins along the way!

I have big dreams for my organizing business! Creating a business that helps clients create systems and provide resources that are mindful when donating items that also support other local small businesses and community programs. Education on recycling, discarding items properly and reducing our carbon footprint is a huge goal I have for myself and my clients. We can all take small steps to do our part!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents for always supporting me and encouraging me to go after my dreams. My sisters for always having my back.
The besties for always believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.
