We had the good fortune of connecting with Elicia Hodge and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elicia, how do you think about risk?
Risk-taking, to me, is facing your fears head-on and trusting that it will work out in the end. An excellent example of this for me personally was when I separated from the Air Force to rediscover myself and pursue my passions which resulted in me going to college full time and starting my business. However, when I separated from the military, I settled in Colorado, where I had no family or friends- I didn’t know anyone, and I was pretty much on my own. But I trusted that I would be okay through this journey.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a realtor that specializes in interior design and digital art. I offer creativity and a chance for my clients to find a home they can develop into their sanctuary. Currently, I’m still relatively new to real estate. I’ve only had my license for a year, but I’ve been an artist and designer for as long as I can remember. So I’m planning on bringing my real estate, creativity, and designing expertise under one umbrella. It’s slightly challenging because I don’t see many other Realtors going about their brands in this way. However, that’s what makes it fun because it’s something new and innovative. I’ve overcome these challenges by understanding that I need help, partnering with a social media strategist to help organize my brand, and getting it in a position that is easy to digest. I understand that your environments help you grow into the person you are meant to be, and through my brand, I want to help others obtain that. So many find working with me, they discover their creative side, building an appreciation for aesthetics and working on themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not originally from Colorado, but my favorite areas are Castle Pines and Castle Rock. I like the shopping center in Castle Rock, it’s an outside mall, and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. My favorite restaurants are Fuzzy’s and Great Divide Brewery & roadhouse. I also love to go hiking during the summer, however, as of late, I haven’t been going out much, but I am planning to venture out more once my business is fully up and running.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I want to shoutout my partner for supporting me through everything. He’s the best and couldn’t do this with out him. I also want to shoutout to the individuals that believe in my brand and my purpose. Having support from a good handful of friends and love ones really does help. Lastly, I want to shout out God/the universe/my spiritual journey, it has taken me a long way, physically, mentally and spiritually. I wouldn’t be here today without it.
