We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Tucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I began my esthetics journey I knew I wanted to offer a unique experience, so starting my own business was a no-brainer. Every face is different, so every treatment should be tailored to fit the individual’s specific needs and goals. Treatments should never be cookie-cutter-cut.

I love so many aspects of esthetics: skincare, makeup, massage, and more. Our practice spans an array of modalities and I wanted to be able to incorporate them all into my treatments. Working for myself makes it much easier to structure my services to best serve my clients’ needs and my own vision of what esthetics should be all about.

I want every single person who walks through my door to feel a little (or a lot!) better when they walk out.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Easy it was not, but the most rewarding things in life never are. I came upon the field of esthetics while grieving a very personal loss. This also happened to be during a time in my life when some of my relationships had become a living nightmare. During this time I got my first facial from an esthetician and it was the most relaxing, freeing, stress relieving experience of my life. I knew, then, that I wanted to dedicate my life to bringing that same joy and release to others. Often it’s during the hardest moments of life when you find your calling, and that was certainly the case for me.

Finding serenity amidst the chaos of life is ultimately what my business is about. Even when life doesn’t play fair, even when heartache threatens to overwhelm you, even when it all seems like too much, the power of holistic self-care through esthetics can bring serenity and joy. Through serenity we can begin to transform our lives in powerful ways. My business is a catalyst to help people reach a greater, fuller version of themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend coming to visit, I’d like to give them a little taste of everything Colorado has to offer. We would visit Old Town Fort Collins and pop in all the unique shops. Do some hiking, maybe at Devil’s Backbone or Lory State Park, catch a show or two at the Lincoln Center, maybe ride the paddle-boats across Windsor Lake. The food would be a little bit harder to narrow down. I’m a huge foodie and love trying new restaurants all the time. I would have to take them to get a croissant from La Creperie & French Bakery in Fort Collins. They’re the most flaky, buttery delicious croissants I’ve ever experienced. Dim Sum at Star Kitchen in Denver is definitely worth the drive!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh, my goodness. It’s so hard to single out who to give a shoutout. I have so many amazing people in my life.

Everyone always thinks they have the best parents, but I really do have the best parents in the world. They’ve supported me and my dreams my entire life. My siblings also deserve a shoutout. They let me practice all kinds of wild treatments on them through this journey. A special shoutout to my sister Clare, who’s been my best friend pretty much since she was born. She’s done more for me than she’ll ever realize. My Aunt Sanley also deserves a huge shoutout. She let me live with her while I was going to school and made sure I was fed! Other honorable mentions should go to: Cindy Tusa (the owner of White Magnolia Advanced Skin Care Institute. Her help before, during, and after school has been invaluable.), Aaron Volner (the best and most supportive friend a girl could ever ask for. AND also a published author. Go check him out!), Zane Mortensen, Sam & John Mortensen, Kale Wolfe-Cheng, Jessie Wagner, Cheung Cheng, Yuk Wah Cheng, and Mani Spence.

I could sit here naming people all day! I’m sorry if I missed anyone. I really do have the very best support system!
