We had the good fortune of connecting with Emma Lombardi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emma, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The end goal for me is to make sure that others have the energy to chase their own goals by getting better sleep, eating foods that make them feel great, reflecting on their health mindset, and moving their body in a way they love which gives them needed energy without an aesthetic goal.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What makes me the most proud and excited is seeing the progress that my clients create. Diving in during a session and really getting to the root of an issue or hearing the subtle difference in the way they talk to themselves over our coaching is why I am here. The experience of connecting with clients is hard to create and takes a lot of intention when you are first starting. I have learned a lot from coaches, mentors, friends, and by simply observing what others do. I have realized that there is so much to learn when coming into a new career, and you don’t know what you don’t know, so you have to ask! Which is hard to start doing. What you should know about working with me is that health coaching is not just about food and exercise. It is about identifying specific perspectives on your health, why you have them, and then adjusting them for where you want to be. I am focused on the client as a whole rather than how many calories you eat everyday.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Great question. I live in lovely Loveland Colorado and I love planning when friends and family are around. The first stop is always Verboten Brewing in downtown Loveland. Then, hopping around downtown Loveland to all of the local shops, Henry’s Pub for dinner, and of course rounding it all off with Mary’s Mountain Cookies for ice cream and a cookie. The next day would consist of paddleboarding and swimming at Carter Lake (this is during summer of course). If my friends are really adventurous I would take them on a trail run at either Devil’s Backbone or Coyote Ridge Open Space along the front range.

With so many great festivals, craft breweries, and unique events frequently happening in Northern Colorado we could easily spend most of our time exploring the cities, along with any of the local trails in the area. Lots of time in nature with some downtown exploration sprinkled in, is my kind of week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A couple of things have influenced me in my coaching business journey. The biggest being 2020, but stay with me. Looking back, I realize that 2020 gave me the time to slow down, reflect, and see what I truly wanted for my life, where I wanted to go, and who I wanted to serve. There are lots of ways to serve others but I have found coaching is the most powerful. My biggest influence and introduction into the coaching realm was my friend and coworker, Bart Thurman. His passion for all things health was what grew my curiosity in the area of health and wellness. After being coached by Bart I decided to get my own health coaching certification and start helping others improve their health!
