We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eric, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss. From a very young age, that’s been the goal. Money would be great, but the freedom to make my own choices, and the responsibility to deal with the consequences they create has always been very exciting to me.

 

What should our readers know about your business?
Dine and Dash Luxury Tours is a high-end guided tour company based in Denver. Our location and our focus on world-class cuisine sets us apart from our competitors. At the end of the day there simply aren’t very many in Denver doing what we do. When people think of guided food tours, they think of Paris, New York, London — you know, major international food hubs. But the truth is, Denver is quickly becoming a city with cuisine to be reckoned with. We deserve our time in the sun, too! I guess I’m most proud that everyone who’s been on a Dine and Dash tour has had an excellent time, and left feeling full. We may not be all that well known (yet), but we’re the best at what we do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well obviously I’d take them on a Dine and Dash tour! The whole idea is that I can take my favorite restaurants in the city, and introduce you to a handful of them all in the same afternoon. That said, here are some of my Denver favorites that shouldn’t be missed:

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family deserves all the credit. I’ve been bouncing ideas off them for as long as I can remember. They support me, critique me, invest in me, and reroute me as needed. Because of them I’m free to always take the big swing and know that it’ll never land me on the street.
