We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Ryan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I just left my two youngest children’s dad because he was abusive. I was used to having two incomes to pay bills and now I was on my own with three kids who depended on me. I was bound and determined my children’s needs and wants were met. I just needed to find a second job that was really flexible. It was my weekend without my children so my really good friend invited me to a Pure Romance Party. After coming out of an abusive relationship I wanted nothing to do with dating or guys. I was like I need a toy that fits my needs. That’s when I met Amy. She know everything about anything when it came to Pure Romance and their products. Little did I know that party would change my life for the better. It was my turn in the shopping room. I already know I wouldn’t be able to afford when of the toys she had shown in her demo. She build out her broke bitch toys… Something I could afford. She asked me about my story because I had no clue about my want or needs when it came to my desires or what i wanted when it came to sex. She told me I would make the perfect consultant. I laughed at her and told her no way. I was way too shy and didn’t know anything when it came to the bedroom. The next few weeks she invited me to her house and to help her with parties. I was having fun and enjoying learning all the things I didn’t know about what it took to build confidence, desire and to fill complete. Plus helping other women wether they were young, old, single or had a partner. That’s when I fell in love with Pure Romance and the passion to help make people’s lives better.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My main job that I absolutely love is being a para in high school. I am also a mom of three full time. My passion in life is to help people. That’s what makes my soul and heart happy; I enjoy making them happier, healthier and stronger.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Pueblo River Walk is beautiful year around, it’s so calming just walking, reading the history and being outside. When you are coming to Pueblo CO, when it comes to Family Own and Operated are always the best. Coors Tavern has amazing foods and drink. Their staff is awesome! When it comes to food trucks and BBQ You need Up In Smoke Barbecue ! Side note Amy Hill is the person ti se nails.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Amy Yocom-Vos for believing in me and kept on me till I singed up, she’s the best sponsor I’ve ever had. To my Oldest Son, Jeremiah for always being there to help me, whether it was to babysit my two youngest, helping me label my stuff, helping load and unload my totes and just coming and hanging out with me at events. If it wasn’t for my mom, dad, grandma and aunt trying different products, plus babysitting, making sure my shipments were safe, watching me practice my demo a thousand times and helping me build my confidence. To Angelica Davila, Melinda Littig and their family for always being there and for getting my name out there. To my Awesome Foxes team mates for being there. For Mindy Reichert being able to learn all the things super fast and to be able to share them with the team. Also to my amazing customers that have giving me feed back; whether good or bad. When it comes to their own life and how a product has helped them. To Pure Romance for changing my life for the better. Last but not least I am so grateful for Jayme and Ralph Benabides for doing my photoshoot and always being there.
