We had the good fortune of connecting with Eva Pobjecka and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eva, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by nature. Her complexity, her beauty, her gentle ways, her rough ways and patience! What incredible outcome can you expect after watching nature! We always talk about role models, who is inspiring or motivating you! Well to me it is all on more majestic and grande level.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a small glass art gallery owner. I grew up around glass making. I understand the hardship of glass making. I do respect my artists and craft people and I place them in all this process of selling their work first.
I do not have business degree nor business like people skills. I think that is what sets me apart from others. My goals are not numbers($) I shall see.
The way I communicate with artists and the way I communicate with my clients is through understanding the art, the craft and thought process. I am trying to not work with prices. I am pointing to efforts, uniqueness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There will be hike in first place for sure! Or maybe few hikes in this area! There is no way to feel or way to know this place without connecting with nature. Each hike is different. Visually, geologically, less or more physically demanding. Take them to Minturn for short fun historic tour and Rocky Mountain Taco for best burritos there. In Vail visit Betty Ford Gardens, Ski museum and for the best dessert and dinner at Sweet Basil restaurant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
shoutout to all artists, crafts people, who dare to be different*, think creatively and posses the skills they believe in what they create and they believe in you, placing their product in your hands knowing that you will communicate their intentions and their feelings

*(what I mean being different in this hi tech and overly consuming and mechanic times)
