We had the good fortune of connecting with Evan Olmstead and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Evan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
To help change other lives the way mine was. That is truly my #1 priority at all times with my program. I struggled for over a decade with yo-yo dieting. Constantly losing the same 30 lbs. over and over. After so many failed attempts at a sustainable lifestyle… it starts to really mess with your mental state, not just the physical.

I changed my life by dropping 46 lbs. inside of 12 weeks when I adopted this lifestyle I now teach. I found myself again after so many years searching. I regained control of my physical and mental self. This in turn made me a better husband, father, son, co-worker, and friend. It changed my entire life for the positive.

I figured, if this impacted me in such an amazing way… how could I share that and teach that to other struggling dad’s and husband’s out there? I knew I wasn’t alone in that fight. So, that is exactly what I set out to do.

I specialize in helping busy dad’s regain control of their health and fitness by showing them a lifestyle that allows them to drop 25-50+ lbs. in just 12 weeks without having to sacrifice their precious family time, their metabolism, or their muscle to do so. Possibly the best part… is we don’t count 1 calorie, weigh 1 macro, restrict 1 carb, or any other foods that make life worth living. And it is incredibly sustainable for us busy family men.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There isn’t another fat loss program out there like mine today. The community, the accountability, the support, and the mindset changes that my clients undergo is unmatched. It is a complete, and total transformation, inside to out. I don’t just offer a temporary solution to their weight management problem (like Keto or Calorie Counting), I solve their problem once and for all. One and done, problem solved, what is your next problem?

I’m so blessed to help change the lives of the clients I have helped. Experiencing their wins, their growth, watching their mentality improve and their bodies change in ways they never thought possible for themselves. That is so incredibly rewarding and powerful.

It’s definitely not always easy… there is a lot of fitness data out there online today. And I think a lot of people struggle with deciphering what is “good” verse what is “bad”. Or what will work for them or not, etc. I don’t think it is all about good verse bad but more about what can fit into their lifestyle and be sustainable? A lot of guys I work with struggled with changing their entire life to fit the new fad diet. They may have lost 10 or 20 lbs. at first but then when they revert their life back and that fad diet no longer fits that lifestyle, they gain the weight right back – plus more. There aren’t many things more frustrating than that feeling of defeat.

I focus on fitting my methods into their lifestyle, not the other way around. This is how they are all so successful. This is why my clients are changing their lives forever. And this is how I guarantee 25-50 lbs. lost in my 12 week program and that it will solve their yo-yo dieting problems once and for all.

I think the biggest thing I want to let people know is that I am not a sales guy. I’m not a marketing wiz or trying to manipulate them into giving me their hard earned money. I am trying to change the culture we battle in today’s society. 250 million people in America today are overweight or obese. It is truly an epidemic. I care about helping change their lives and their families lives. I care about showing them they don’t have to struggle any longer. That as busy dad’s, we can be the men our families need us to be but also we can take care of our health and fitness at the same time. All I ask if for my clients to trust me on the initial call, and I never have to ask them again.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to do here in Colorado Springs. As a health and fitness coach I definitely love my outdoor and physical activity time.

So, I would recommend any level of hiking (thousands of trail options); tackling the Manitou Springs Incline; walking through Garden of the Gods; an afternoon spent at TopGolf overlooking the mountain range; reliving our youth at the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade; spending a day at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (ranked in top 3 nationally); and hit up a few of our many local breweries and local restaurants.

Honestly, I can keep going! But, those are definitely some great ideas for anyone coming from out of town that needs a good starting list.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost is definitely God. Without Him, I wouldn’t be so blessed to be in this position to help others. Second is my wife, Carol. She is my biggest supporter and always motivating me to keep going. She helps keep me grounded and focused on helping others always. Lastly, would be my friend and mentor, Joel. He has helped coach me in my business and continues to guide me if I get stuck. Having his lessons learned and blueprint to follow has definitely been invaluable.
