We had the good fortune of connecting with Evan Simmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Evan, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson I’ve learned from my entrepreneurial journey is the true nature of risk. For a long time, I saw risk as a gamble—a high-stakes game with odds stacked against you, something to avoid unless success was guaranteed. I’ve never been drawn to casinos or card games because the idea of losing hard-earned money in a situation where the odds weren’t in my favor didn’t make sense to me.
But that mindset started shifting when I realized, after a decade in Corporate America, that I had reached my so-called dream job—and yet, I was deeply unhappy. I was anxious and lost, knowing I needed a change but fearing what that change might cost. Pursuing my dream of starting my own business felt overwhelming and uncertain. Yet, I took the leap, betting on myself despite the fear.
Five years later, I can confidently say that taking that risk was the best decision of my life. I’ve learned that meaningful success often requires stepping into the unknown. Risk, I’ve realized, isn’t just about what you might lose—it’s about what you stand to gain. Sometimes, you have to leave the familiar behind to discover the potential that’s waiting on the other side.
What should our readers know about your business?
My name is Evan Simmons, and I’m the proud owner of Panoramic Pro Painting, a full-service interior and exterior painting and cabinet refinishing company serving the Denver Metro Area and Front Range. At Panoramic Pro Painting, our mission is to provide premium, customer-centered service that embodies integrity, professionalism, and the highest level of craftsmanship. We’re committed to delivering not only top-notch results but also a smooth and stress-free experience for our clients.
I started Panoramic Pro Painting because I saw an opportunity to raise the standard in the painting industry by focusing on what often gets overlooked—exceptional customer service. We know that any painting project can disrupt a home or business, so we prioritize clear communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to keeping the entire process as seamless as possible. From the first consultation to the final coat, our goal is to go above and beyond to address our clients’ needs and ensure they feel confident and cared for every step of the way.
This approach has been the backbone of our success. Today, we’re proud to have over 200 five-star reviews, which we believe speaks volumes about the satisfaction of our clients and the quality of our work. In a digital age where online feedback is critical, these reviews not only help us stand out but also build trust with new customers, showing them that they’re making the right choice with us.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Building a business requires resilience and a strong focus on customer satisfaction, but I’ve learned that challenges are where growth happens. By focusing on quality, consistency, and genuine customer care, we’ve created a service that our clients not only value but also recommend to others. I’m incredibly proud of what Panoramic Pro Painting has become, and I’m excited to continue serving our community with the same dedication and passion for years to come.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week here, I would take someone on a downtown stroll and dinner at a great steakhouse like Guard and Grace. Then, we’d dive into Five Points—bagels at Rosenberg’s, a historic walking tour, and live jazz at Dazzle. We’d hit up RiNo for street art and local brews, then head to a food hall for dinner. Mid-week, we’ll do the Denver Art Museum, the Molly Brown House, and dinner at a classic old-school spot.
One day we’d go hiking at Red Rocks, then unwind at the Botanic Gardens and catch a show. We’d brunch, shop Larimer Square, and have tapas with city views at El Five. Finally we’d chill at Union Station and end with a nice farewell dinner.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe a huge thank you to:
