We had the good fortune of connecting with Evelyn Knuckles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Evelyn, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Most important factor is determination, passion and hard work. Having the most inspirational and faithful clients who have continued to support the business during this trying time for retailers and the world in general.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have been in the retail business for over 14 years first as a Brick and Mortar and now as a mobile Fashionliner. The transition wasn’t easy in the beginning as my clients were now needing to know how to find my locations etc so I needed to rethink and learn all about Instagram and social media avenues to get clients aware of where they could find the truck to shop pretty quickly. That was 6 years ago when I switched to this model so Fashion Trucks weren’t very popular. I am most excited about building the Evey K Brand with this model as “the Only Way To Shop’ Where we come to you for your private shopping experience with the ability to style them as well. My clients love the personal attention and the fact they find amazing fashion pieces that maximize their wardrobe . I have learned a ton along the way. First and foremost, that people are truly wanting a one on one experience when they shop and that they appreciate attention and honesty when purchasing items from the Fashionliner. It really doesn’t matter that I’m in a truck or a brick and mortar. I have had to learn how to reinvent a new business model myself and find places along the state of Colorado that will allow me to park the truck for shopping. Since mobile Fashion Trucks are relatively new, it was quite challenging the first years to garner locations, approvals, , etc. I want people to know to follow your passion, prepare and learn all that you can and trust the process. Take a risk and see where it leads you! It truly is worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been blessed to have some amazing women who are friends who have supported me throughout my journey. Each person listed has given me encouragement, support to grow business with ideas and opportunities, and helping me when needed on the Fashionliner when we have Private shopping parties etc. They each have given much of their time, expertise and beyond thankful to have them on board with helping me grow the business.
