Meet Faith Haug | Co-Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Faith Haug and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Faith, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We wanted to provide a safe space for members of the queer community. Many people are intimidated by auto repair and maintenance and we wanted to make a place where they feel safe, included, and respected.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
CC (owner/operator) has 25 years of experience in the automotive industry and a degree in mechanical engineering. A transwoman, CC felt they had to choose between a career and transitioning, as the automotive and industrial industries are predominantly male and tend to be less accepting of queer people. Faith (co-owner) has an MBA and has a long career in another “traditional” industry – funeral service. While that industry is changing for the better, the automotive world still has a long way to go, and so Good Judy was born as a solution for the queer community in Denver, and beyond. While there are shops who are “friendly” to the LGBTQ+ community, Good Judy is owned and operated by community members. All of our staff fall under the queer umbrella. We are actually fully queer owned and operated!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our staff would probably have a list of cool places – but us owners are generally in bed by 9pm! We (CC and Faith) have an affinity for old cemeteries and sushi, so that would have to be on the agenda!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to dedicate it to our customers. We have the absolute BEST customers in the world! They are the most loving, kind, interesting, patient, and supportive people ever.
