We had the good fortune of connecting with Freebird Funnday and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Freebird, what inspires you?
I’ve always enjoyed staring at the intricate details in artwork and admiring the effort that went into it. I’m inspired by the time, energy, heart, and soul that creators put into their creations and it reminds me to savor the process while I’m creating. I’m inspired by the passion that artists convey in their work and it keeps my passion burning bright.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I create fingerpaintings, mostly with a lot of vibrant colors but I also enjoy creating monochromatic pieces. For the last two years, I have been developing my own techniques and attempting to find my voice in my paintings. I am excited to paint my first mural at The Midnight Oil Bookstore in Greeley, CO and I am looking forward to many more live painting opportunities and commissions this year.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love eating good food with friends and taking long walks with great views. My favorite restaurant in Denver is City O’ City in Capital Hill and my favorite place to take a stroll is Confluence Park in Downtown Denver. Renting a scooter to take in the views and cruise the city is also very fun, weather permitting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have the most incredible support system of friends, family, and community members that I can’t thank enough for their guidance, support, and encouragement. I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my amazing boyfriend, Michael, who constantly inspires me to believe in my dreams and my abilities. He is always willing to help me achieve any and all of my goals and I feel very blessed to be on this journey together. Another big Thank You to Bailee Campbell for this opportunity and for her dedication to our community.
