We had the good fortune of connecting with Gary Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gary, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
We would love to churn out a film a year and an album a year. We’d love to produce content all the time really. We want to be able to put out video games, films, comics, and anything you can think of in the Comedy genre.
What should our readers know about your business?
We like to joke that we are SNL with no money to some folks but it really makes sense. We try to operate with as little as possible to keep it creative. I always loved corny sci-fi or terrible animation in things. I wanted to blend the stuff I loved with film and comedy. I love seeing great acting and terrific writing done with puppets for instance. I think that’s us in a nutshell, we’re the best and worst together. We’re not meant to be taken seriously. I’m working with another media company on our more dramatic stuff, but I think Best Worst Cantina will always be the place for weird, for odd, and for trying things. We’re controlled chaos one story at a time.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
16th Street mall at night. Absolutely pleasant people.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Adult Swim for paving the way for us little weird alternative comedy creators. Without Home Movies and Aqua Teen Hunger Force where would we be?
