We had the good fortune of connecting with Gissel Rosario and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gissel, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Over time, my approach to work-life balance has shifted significantly. Early in my career, I was very focused on hustling and putting in long hours to build my business and establish myself. It felt like there was always more to do, and I had to sacrifice personal time to keep things moving. Now, I prioritize balance much more intentionally. I’ve realized that when I take care of myself—physically, mentally, and emotionally—I show up better for my clients, my team, and my loved ones. I’m diligent about setting boundaries, carving out time for daily self-care routines like meditation, exercise, and spending time in nature. These are non-negotiables for me. I believe balance is fluid; it shifts depending on what season of life I am in. It’s about knowing when to pull back to nurture my personal life. It’s less about perfect equilibrium and more about being present and content in both areas.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a real estate professional with a passion for helping people navigate the complex world of property buying and selling. What sets my business apart is my ability to connect with my clients and understand their unique needs. I take pride in guiding them through every step of the transaction, making it as seamless as possible. My background in customer service and sales has given me the tools to negotiate the best deals for my clients and stay ahead of market trends.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to learning. There were many challenges along the way—whether it was dealing with market fluctuations or learning how to grow my business while maintaining balance. But I embraced those challenges as opportunities to grow. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that mindset and resilience are key. Staying adaptable and focused on solutions rather than problems has been a huge factor in my success. I want the world to know that my business is built on relationships, referrals and integrity. I’m not just about closing deals; I’m about creating lasting connections and helping people achieve their home ownership dreams. My journey has been one of continuous growth, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come, both personally and professionally. What excites me the most is the potential for further expansion and finding new ways to add value to the lives of my clients.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Colorado and all its got to offer! I think this itinerary would vary based on the time of year they visit. Let’s assume it’s in the spring (because it’s one of my favorite seasons.) We’d start off with breakfast at Fox Run for some banana bread and avocado toast, then stroll around City Park. For dinner, we’d head to Work & Class and finish the night with drinks at Broken Cage which has delicious cocktails.
Another day, we’d kick things off at Cafe Miriam for coffee and croissants, then catch a show at Red Rocks. It’s one of the best venues in the world IMHO, and the views are unbeatable. Before the show, we’d grab dinner at Spuntino, a cozy Italian restaurant.
Of course, I’d have to take them to do my favorite hike at Devil’s head lookout. Once we are done hiking, we’d go play down in Colorado Springs for the rest of the day. We’d also squeeze in a trip to Horsetooth Reservoir for some kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding. It’s such a beautiful spot to enjoy the outdoors. And when we’re back in town, we’d grab a pizza at Blue Pan Pizza in Congress Park.
To wrap things up, we’d go dancing around Rino followed by drinks at The Block Distilling. It’d be the perfect blend of great food, fun activities and live music.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All the success and glory belong to God, and I’m so grateful for His guidance and blessings along the way. I also want to thank my family for being with me through it all, witnessing every step of my journey. A huge thank you to my early mentor, Robert, for shaping both my career and personal growth. To my coach, Tony, for always pushing me to be my best. And to my friend and mentor Carlos, who believes in me even when I don’t. Lastly, a big thank you to all my friends who have supported me and my business—you mean the world to me!
