We had the good fortune of connecting with Hallie Dantzler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hallie, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from what used to be a small town, but is no longer! I grew up in Johnstown, Colorado. My heart is very much still there in the time period of 10+ years ago when everyone knew everyone, you had to plan for at least an extra half hour when going to the grocery store, and you were extra careful with whatever you got into after football games because it was sure to make it back to your parents. My upbringing in a small town really shaped my service mentality and how I run my business today in several ways. With the “everyone knows everyone” aspect, I became accustomed to never meeting a stranger. I have always been shy but have never met a stranger, so to speak. Anyone that comes around me with positive vibes is always welcome through my doors and at my table. I was also rasised to give the shirt off my back to those who need it. In the service industry there are always hard to please customers and ones that have no idea what to get. It is my job to help make sure their desire is met and their goal is reached with their content. I owe a lot of who I am to my mom and my dad- they truly pushed and continue to push me to be the absolute best human being I can be.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own Dantzler Solutions, a social media managing and virtual assistant business that focuses on small, local businesses and nonprofits. My biggest selling point is that I don’t and won’t use AI for your content. It isn’t that I am against AI by any means, I just feel we lose a layer of authenticity by using it. I never want your content to feel unrelatable to your audience or unlike you! I am most proud of my ability to pick up tasks that my clients ask. If it isn’t something I have experience in but my client is asking for it, I find a class to teach me how, and being a fast learner has really helped with this. I got to social media managing and virtual assisting by having decent success with my own, building a couple pages from the ground up, and then in 2020 thinking I would try my hand at Instragram Influencing. I thought that if I could do it for myself and a couple businesses why not make a business of it- so I did! It wasn’t easy for sure! Keeping up with the ever changing trends and app updates is hard as heck but well worth it. This industry is ever evolving but is very enjoyable. I love sharing what I do, and what my clients do, with the world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a very type-A person and would have this trip planned out to the detail! When my best friend visits we are eating local, drinking local coffee, going camping, seeing local music, getting tattoos, and hanging out in the sun. As cliche as it sounds for Fort Collins we are going to Horsetooth, for sure, for some lake time. We are eating Cafe Mexicali, Silver Grill, Empire Palace, Comet Chicken, DP Dough, and Mary’s Mountain Cookies. We are going to Bean Cycle, Hal’s Coffee, and The Cart for coffee. We are going to State Forest State Park for a short camping trip to enjoy some quiet time and fresh air. We are going to see Sorry Sweetheart play a show- probably in Denver. If we have time for tattoos we are either going to Story of My Life Tattoo or NoCo Tattoo Studio, both are excellent shops. A walk around old town would be in the books while out for food. There is so much to do in Northern Colorado that we could do anything and still have a great time, although I think those are some of the must dos and sees!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success comes directly from my family. My husband, Nathan, is one of my biggest attributes to my success. Without him, nothing that I do would be possible. The number of problems is able to help resolve, his logically wired brain, and his insane amount of support for me has really helped me get to where I am. My son, Harrison, is also a huge motivating factor to I am and what I do. I have his best intentions in mind every time I do something. My family and friends, or my tribe, as I like to call them, are pieces of my puzzle that help me be me. My tribe means everything to me! Big shoutouts to Nathan, Harrison, and my tribe.
