We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah David and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
How under utilized health coaching is currently- meaning how many people truly need it, but either don’t know about it or don’t know they need it. Unfortunately, our country’s healthcare system is not set up in favor of preventative wellness.

Being well is seen as a luxury way of living that is hard to obtain for most people. Many people suffer from conditions that take over their life and they learn to deal with the symptoms and pain. It sadly becomes their new normal.

I dream of a world where every patient not only saw a doctor for WHAT to do for their ailment, but also saw a Health Coach immediately after to navigate the HOW to get started with making the new changes and to make them last. Every person needs a Health Coach. Every person deserves the luxury of being well.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I feel so lucky to love what I do! Ever since I became a Health Coach in 2012, I knew that I would run my own health coaching business some day. I just didn’t know when or what it would look like. I finally decided to go for it last year and am so proud of myself for not letting the fear of the unknown hold me back.

At My Flo Coach, I empower people to feel confident in themselves and take charge of their health and wellness. I specialize in coaching menstruators through reproductive conditions: irregular periods, endometriosis, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), TTC (trying to conceive), pregnancy, and post-partum.

As your Health & Wellness Coach, I evaluate how your lifestyle is impacting your wellness. This includes your nutrition, physical activity, mental health, stress management, sleep habits, toxin exposure, relationships, and more. All of these areas of your lifestyle impacts your reproductive health.

Has your doctor already told you the changes that you need to make to improve your condition, but they didn’t tell you how to get started or how to keep those changes consistent? Maybe it just seems overwhelming to figure it out on your own? You’re in luck- that’s where I come in as your coach.

During our coaching sessions, we will break down large goals that seem impossible into smaller achievable steps. We work together to build healthy habits that last. The easiest way to discover if working with me is the best fit for you is to schedule a FREE consultation with me on my website: www.myflocoach.com.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start the mornings at either Dandy Lion Coffee Co. or Honey Hill Cafe- both in Park Hill, Denver where I live. During the day if we want to do a little bit of shopping, we would bike over to Park Hill Books where I get all of my used books. We would hit the thrift shops along Colfax and Broadway. My longtime favorite spot is Antique Etc. on Colfax. Shout out to the owners, Kosta and Stephanie!

I love to hike in the mountains so we will definitely have a day trip to Winter Park & Fraser. We’ll most likely bring our two dogs along for the adventure too. After our hike, we’ll be stopping at Fraser Valley Hot Dog or Fraser Valley Distillery for lunch. Special shout out to the folks at Fraser Valley Distillery! This is where my husband and I had our wedding reception a few years ago.

Another day, we will hang at City Park or Cheesman Park for a day filled with frisbee, horseshoes, picnicking, and Jazz in the Park. On Sundays, we will make sure to stroll through the South Pearl Street Farmers’ Market and enjoy all the summer treats from the vendors.

In the evenings, we’re grilling and hanging in our backyard with our dogs. We’ll be enjoying the delicious produce that we gathered from the farmer’s market courtesy of our household chef (shout out to my husband, Blake). We’ll watch the sunset and chat all night around our bonfire pit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, Blake, deserves the biggest shout out for my success today! We have been together for 14 years and he is always my biggest cheerleader. Whenever I share my big dreams and goals, he is the first one to say, “Get it girl!”.

He is my sounding board when I feel indecisive or need to brain dump. He is there to just listen or to collaborate on ideas when I need it. He is understanding when I need to adjust or cancel plans so that I can complete a project or attend a business event. Not to mention, he has made sure we are financially supported while I build this business.

Blake is the best partner I could ask for on this journey of life. I’m so grateful for him. Thank you, my love.
