We had the good fortune of connecting with Haylee Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Haylee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The funny thing about Itty Bitty Titty Goods is that it was actually not started on purpose. I was dealing FDA recalled breast implants and breast implant illness. I just designed the classic Itty Bitty Titty Committee shirt before my explant for myself as a way to lighten the otherwise painful experience. A few of my friends asked for it on shirts, and then their friends asked for one and it spread like wildfire.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am absolutely obsessed with brand strategy and graphic design for causes. I think it’s amazing that specific brands and companies are working to make the world a better place with their strategy and design. Itty Bitty Titty Goods is a reflection of these things. I am always asking myself how to make meaningful and impactful brands that turn into positive movements. Itty Bitty Titty Goods is that for me. Itty Bitty Titty Goods is set apart because this movement focuses specifically on small boobs and combats a culture that says bigger is always better. Itty Bitty Titty Goods is all about seeing beauty in the small things, things that really matter. IBTGs gives a voice to many women that have been bullied, have had mastectomies, or have had explants and suffered from breast implant illness. The message is YOU AREN’T ALONE, AND YOU ARE WORTHY. Something everyone needs to hear from time to time.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
COVID has changed a lot, but let’s pretend we can do any and everything. I’d take my friend to a variety of coffee shops, we’d start with Blue Sparrow! I’d love to take them to dinner at Super Mega Bien, Cart Driver, Wolf’s Tailor, Sushi Den, or Uncle– you know the usual! We’d visit Red Rocks to do a HIIT session on the rocks, get a drink at Adrift, see a show at the Odgen, and then wander South Broadway. I would also love to take them to the mountains- probably Telluride which is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
