We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Hope and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Here’s a favorite quote from fashion icon Coco Chanel – “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” In my work, I am blessed to celebrate each client’s natural beauty. I give them the tools – color analysis and personal style development – to amplify what is already there. They learn what colors and clothing best suits them – based on their natural coloring, body architecture, and unique personality. My aim in bringing the House of Colour franchise to Denver, is to help people be their very best – with confidence and authenticity.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a personal stylist and image consultant, with expertise in seasonal color analysis, clothing personalities, and personal branding. House of Colour found me after I had turned 40, had two babies, and lost a lot of confidence in my personal appearance. My experience as a client was so life changing that I decided to launch the franchise in Denver just 18 months ago. It’s been a really rewarding shift from my 20+-year career in PR/Marketing. Every day I CELEBRATE my clients by showing them the very best colors in clothing and makeup that suit their natural coloring, and by helping them develop their personal style – not based on the whims of fashion, but celebrating their personalities and honoring their body architecture. Before experiencing House of Colour, I worked for several female CEOs who employed expensive personal stylists. I have learned that this work isn’t just for the rich or famous. I love that our model is affordable and life-changing. It empowers clients – men and women of all ages and economic brackets – with the tools to shift how they see themselves, and how others see them as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Before moving to Central Park and starting a family, we lived in the Glass House in Riverfront Park. I still LOVE and miss that area. I’d be sure we hit Riverfront, LoHi, RhiNo for all the great food. I also used to work at the DMNS and became quite enamored with the cultural gems in our community. I’d be sure we got to the DAM, Gardens, MCA, DMNS, Zoo, etc. And before that, I lived in Cap Hill, so would be sure we also checked out that part of town plus the Golden Triangle – for a totally different vibe and some amazing people watching. As a Colorado Native who grew up in Littleton and attended CSU before CU for grad school – I’m always quick to point out that we are a city with amazing diversity and experiences – far from the “cow town” reputation the Mile High City once held.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
RISE Collaborative – I joined this female-focused co-working space in 2019 and met an incredible group of women there. (including the person who nominated me for this series). I got the support and inspiration I needed as I left my corporate job in strategic communication and PR, and launched my franchise.
