We had the good fortune of connecting with Honour Indigo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Honour, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of Honour is my authenticity. Should I choose to fold and put out a sound that is popular at the moment instead of my own, my supporters will feel the difference and so will I. I’d rather put out something that comes from my heart that only connects with a few people over putting something mainstream out that more people like for it’s relevance in music trends.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
While creating, my intention is to take someone in an uncomfortable place to a much more surreal one. I am most excited about sharing my music with a larger audience. I want people to know that I make my music to make them feel good by piecing unique elements of sound together.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favourite spot in the city would have to be the McNichols Center. That’s actually where I met a bunch of other talented artists and they seem to always be having some kind of show or event going on there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to the amazingly talented Rusty Steve! I have him to thank for helping take my talents more seriously and to see more magic in the thing that we love.
