We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackie Weatherly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackie, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?

I have learned over the years of having my own business to treat all my clients with the same amount of respect. Regardless of how big or how small one’s house is, I know that each home that I walk into is filled with stories. I have learned to pay careful attention to these stories as I walk with clients through their home. Often I walk away feeling grateful to be invited not only into people’s lives but into their very personal spaces.

What should our readers know about your business?

I started my home staging business 10 years ago with walk-through consultations from a potential buyers standpoint and I provide the homeowner instructions on what to pack, what to move, and how to get the home “market ready”. From there I began staging vacant and occupied homes to make them stand out on the market, helping them to sell fast and for top dollar.

Over the years Adorned2Sell evolved into an interior styling business as well. Through the many homes that I have staged, I have had many of those same homeowners ask me if I could style their new homes! That typically involves arranging the owner’s furnishings and accessories and sometimes I source items to compliment what they already have.

Whatever the need, my ultimate goal is to create a space for my clients that appeal to their lifestyle.
I love the challenge of working with a tired old piece of furniture, or an awkward area, anything that may be an eyesore, and then transforming it into an aesthetically pleasing space.

My ability to repurpose items and spaces developed over years in my own home from limited means and using my own old furnishings. My determination and creative juices would never let me settle for less or be stifled, so I was always arranging and rearranging. Although when people ask me how long I have been styling, I say all of my life. As a kid, I would constantly rearrange my bedroom, my Barbie house, my clubhouse… you name it. It’s in my blood it’s, who I am, and this is what I love!

Not everyone has an eye for placement! People have great taste but can’t always easily display the things that they own and love. One of my favorite things to do is work with homeowners’ sentimental pieces. I absolutely love to hear the stories behind these pieces and watch their faces light up as I make it a priority to incorporate those sentimental pieces into the updated space.

It brings me so much joy to give homeowners a fresh perspective of their surroundings!
My biggest reward is the follow-up phone call or message saying how much clients love their new space!

The process is affordable, simple  and doesn’t have to be overwhelming or intimidating (trust me, I’ve seen it all! NO JUDGEMENT).
We simply start with a 1-hour walk-through consultation and discuss pain points as well as areas and items that bring joy, I get to know their likes, their dislikes, and then together we figure out the best plan of action.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first see who is playing at Red Rocks. If it was someone worth seeing then we would plan accordingly. I would take them to Breckinridge to hang out for the day, go shopping, do a little hike, and have a good lunch at one of the many restaurant up there.
One of those days would be to Estes Park and hit a few breweries on the way home ( in an Uber, ha)
If time permits I would take them to the Western Slope to tour some of the many wineries, ( Two Rivers is my favorite ), spend the night then visit Colorado National Monument while over there ( It truly is a mini Grand Canyon, stunning )
And then since I live in Parker we would have to go to the Farmers Market on Sunday and finish up at the Tailgate with a good breakfast.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my husband Jeff who has been my biggest cheerleader, coach, and disciplined example of Godly integrity and my three daughters who have been so helpful, encouraging, and patient over the years in so many different areas of my business! I am so grateful to all of the many loyal Real Estate Agents who have always trusted me to consult with their clients.
Thank you to all of the homeowners who have invited me into their homes and trusted me to make their surroundings a more inviting and aesthetically pleasing home.
