Meet Jacqueline Allen | Acupuncturist, Astrologer, & Soul Alchemist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacqueline, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my business success is my dedication to self-care. I tend to all aspects of my life: exercise, play, rest & recovery, learning, art, relationships, community, etc. with the same vigor and tenacity that I tend to my acupuncture practice and patients. When I am nourished and fulfilled, I can provide the highest value of service to my clients because I am living the very medicine I provide: mind-body-soul and spirit wholeness. I aim to offer not just healing services but a supportive space from which others can receive nourishment even before something goes wrong, so that we’re not just recovering from illness but so we can each live well and thrive!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The unique blend of medicine that I provide is a rich tapestry of wisdom rooted in oneness and and it’s a medicine that acknowledges our deep embeddedness with Earth and Sky. The Acupuncture, the Astrology, and the Soul Alchemy sessions that I offer are all different aspects of soul medicine. Soul medicine aims to reconnect us with our own primal nature within, knowing that we have everything we’ve ever desired inside of us already. And the deeper we can love and understand ourselves, the more deeply we can live in love and connection to the world around us. This medicine helps the individual to heal so that the ripple of our lived lives can be one of supporting the very world that birthed us into existence. Mind-body-soul-spirit are never separate and no matter what the ailment or condition or inquiry that guides one into my office, the embrace of this oneness offers us the richest and most efficient way back to the very wellness we seek. We are not meant to live life alone and the more support we have in meeting the challenges and difficulties along our journeys the greater our vitality will be. We owe it to ourselves to live fully and I aim to support my clients in that fullness: light or dark, challenging or easeful, joyful or grieving and everything in between, it is all welcome.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To show someone the best time where I live, I would immerse then in nature. We would visit the mountains, the rivers, the forests, and the lakes where I call home and hopefully encounter an animal or two along the way. We would enjoy hanging out on public lands and exploring all the recreational opportunities my home as to offer: rock climbing, rafting, hiking, and mountain biking. During the time we weren’t exploring the outdoors, we would spend time in the local yoga studios (JalaBlu Yoga and Blue Earth Yoga) and we would enjoy dining out at The Asian Palate or The Surf Hotel. We have a number of interesting artists in our community and walking down Main Street to check out all the art studios would be a lot of fun too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of all the healers who have come before me. Particularly, the healers who remind the individual of the ways in which they can heal themselves, knowing that true healing arises from within. My first yoga teacher, RR. Shakti, who I received my 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification from, taught me how to be present in my being and was the first goddess who introduced me to myth and story teaching me the power of perspective and language. She modeled for me what it looks like to branch out into the world of healing in a way that was unconventional and yet deeply rooted in the ancient rhythms of nature – offering a path back to our very own nature within. When I found Traditional East Asian Medicine, I fell deep in love from this parallel holistic approach to the one that Shakti showed me through the paradigm of Indian & Hindu practices. To this day, I continue to weave the varying perspectives from all the traditions that have influenced my journey as a way to deepen our connection to ourselves, each other, to nature, and to spirit – so that we can remember our wholeness from within as we each continue our healing journeys, increasing our personal vitality and raising the vibrations of our collective consciousness.
