Meet Jake Weakley | owner and Operator of Pane Pros Window Cleaning LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jake Weakley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jake, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The whole behind the scene’s and thought process of launching my own business ironically started 5 years ago, when I went on a podcast with one of my buddies. To kind of briefly explain, we had discussed hopes and aspirations of where we wanted to be in 5 years, my response was that I wanted to start my own business and it would provide some kind of service or services. (yes it took me 5 years to the month of the podcast coming out to finally figure out and start my now home service business, procrastination and fear of failing at its finest). My whole thought process then and now was that I find so much appreciation and gratitude providing services rather than a product, which is also of course very similar and just as challenging. A home service business can speak volumes to many people. Rather is the simple side of saving valuable time instead of doing the long and daunting job on their home or business, that they may not have the correct equipment, time, skill, attention to detail, etc. That is where I think my business comes in, providing an extremely valuable service, with clear professional kind communication and always 100% guarantee of satisfaction from our customers or the job isn’t done.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pane Pros Window Cleaning is more than just window cleaning, we thrive to be an industry leading residential and commercial service business that takes pride and joy in doing services that make a true difference in people’s homes and businesses. There’s so much to be said when you are doing a job from start to finish and before and after. Having our customers faces light up and feel the positive warm energy. As well it’s both exciting for us to continue to evolve learning new and exciting skills of the trade, and adding new services that will give that home or business even more curb appeal. For a new teaser, we were just out in Nashville, Tennessee at a home service convention. One of the days we were presented an opportunity and ran with it to do an all day class and get certified to be an Omni architectural lights/year around holiday light contractor! We will proudly be able to install these one of a kind lights and landscape lights to Denver homes and commercial properties! Along with that we learned from some of the countries leading business owners and entrepreneurs at the convention. I think that’s what myself and the business separates us from others. It takes enthusiasm, entrepreneurial creativity, and so much passion to deliver an above and beyond service to the Denver metro area.
Of course like running any business big or small, challenges can be faced on a daily. Whether it’s dealing with some days of no calls, no jobs, no revenue and simply (No’s). I know the company is not where it wants to be and may not get there this week, this month, or maybe even this year. None of that will determine where I know it will be 5 years from now!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For outdoor activities, I love bringing them on a walk around Evergreen Lake, Estes Park or Breckenridge, or maybe camping in Ouray.
In Denver, our first stop would be Denver Biscuit Company or Sam’s #3. Then we would maybe catch an Avalanche game at Ball Arena. Around the area, we would definitely go to Larimer square. I would also just take them to my favorite local restaurant or bars, I truly think Denver has so much to offer for anyone, no matter what they are into.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have so many people, books, podcasts, and mentors to thank and give much praise too. The ones I would like to give a very special shoutout and mention is, my very supporting wife Aubrey, my close family and friends who continue to encourage me and are in my corner. And lastly, someone who is a good friend but also my mentor that has taken me chapters ahead and is also in the home service business industry, out of Seminole Florida, Jay Orlando.
