We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmyne Lovera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmyne, what do you attribute your success to?
The key to my business success is undoubtedly my support system. My husband, children, and faith provide me with a solid foundation that instills complete confidence and peace. With such strong relationships rooted in Christ, I know there’s nothing I can’t overcome. Life will always present challenges, especially when starting a business, but with a support system that continually lifts me up, l am empowered to conquer any obstacle that comes my way.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart as a wedding photographer is the relationship I build with my clientele. Leading up to the wedding, I am checking in and almost always after, we keep in touch. I don’t want my clients to feel like they’re just another number. I want to make them feel validated, seen, and appreciated that their love story is unique and different than everyone else’s. I’m most proud of staying true to myself throughout my business journey. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to make more money or have more shoots even when we aren’t a good fit for each other. Staying true to your values is tough when you first start photography because you just want to get as many shoots as you can to build your website and social media presence, but being rooted in Christ and having a support system that encourages me every day makes it easy to keep going! Additionally, the clients that are a good match for me make the experience tenfold more enjoyable for both me and the clientele! Business success-wise, I found out how powerful word of mouth was when I moved to Colorado. I moved to Colorado from North Carolina in May of 2024, and when I moved, I made a Facebook post about discounted shoots. Over 20 incredible couples wanted to work with me! Not only do many of those couples rebook shoots with me, but they have also told their friends and family about their experience with me, and they have booked with me! Naturally, my business grew over the year being in Colorado to the point where my 2025 books were full by January 2025! I’ve learned to lean on Christ through it all! Not only has He blessed me with a talent to share with people, but He’s blessed me with all of the amazing clients I’ve had the privilege to work with. What everyone should know about me and my business is that I value you as a person, not just a client. I want to know you and your story on a deeper level. That not only helps me capture your story better, but it makes everyone feel more comfortable with each other. Photo shoots are very vulnerable for some people and thats okay! I want to make your experience the best it can possibly be regardless of what type of shoot it is-wedding, engagement, couples, family, whatever the shoot is, its important.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a wife and mother I have found that our most enjoyable family times have been being outside enjoying Colorado’s beautiful weather! You cant go wrong with a Rockies game, or a trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! There are many wonderful things to do in the area for free too! Garden of the Gods has some beautiful trails that are a must see if you’re in the area!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If I were to give a shoutout, it would without a doubt go to the two incredible wedding photographers who took a chance on me as a second shooter at the very beginning of my journey—Camille Ho and Katy Allen. I had just built my portfolio and Instagram presence through a series of free shoots after I got my camera, and they recognized the potential in me. They opened the door to the wedding world and ignited my passion for wedding photography. Working alongside them as a second shooter allowed me to envision myself as a lead photographer, and it fueled my drive to achieve where I am today—fully booked for the 2025 season!
