We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Boeselager and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, how does your business help the community?
I started taking pictures that were of the moment nothing planned nothing down on paper. I wanted to show the world as in through my eyes. i try to show the world that you cant always plan the prefect moment sometimes it just happens. i hope that my photos show the raw beauty of this world we live on because most of the time in front of our faces and we cant see it unless someone else shows it to us. i hope that people start seeing the true beauty and not the filtered one we live in now
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is the fact that the pictures a take are the experience I had. I try to make it feel as if you are there with me. I’m most proud of making people feel as if they are in the water or the forest. as if they can feel the air on their faces and the mist on their skin. my favorite part is going on hikes with my friends and showing them the shoots I get and I always get how they didn’t see that when they looked at the same spot. I also love how they can feel as if they were back at that spot.
It is a challenge to keep going as many people want the same pictures everyone already took. they get inspiration and recreate it inside of making it their own. I enjoy seeing what others see through their eyes sense we all see differently and in a different perspective. I find myself looking at one thing for awhile in different places and in different ways to make the picture feel real.
I have learned that you cant always listen to people. Instead to listen to what you want and what you want to see, to make a difference you must be the difference. And don’t be afraid of what others think and say. Do want you love and you’ll do great. i have found out people like to tell you how to do things when they themselves have never done it. How would they know what to do if they never have done it. listen to what you know and follow what you want. the passion you have is what is going to push you do keep going and to get to your goal no matter how small or big it is. Id like to see more people with passion to be a better them and to see the amazing things around us. i feel if we had more people who are themselves we would have more love for the small things. sometimes its hard to see what in front of you. so I am here to show what we all miss in our daily routines.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite place to take people is Manitou springs. I love showing them the penny arcade and the many bars around there. i have found that you cant go wrong with Manitou in Colorado. it is very pet friendly, i take my cat everywhere i can, and being able to take her into a café gives it a different experience. when i take people i enjoy taking them to the incline witch is almost a mile of stairs. and it is a challenge but its worth it. if they cant handle the incline i would show them the 7 bridges. not so much walking but so much to see. there is seven bridges, most have beautiful waterfalls under them.
After some nice nature time id grab some food and the Armadillo Ranch restaurant for a some nice homestyle food and live music. and during all that we would be stopping at all the little shops to see the handmade products they sell. they also have a great ice cream shop to cool off at.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
i am a traveler and that has giving me the privilege to meet so many wonderful people that encourage me to keep going and to show my work. my motivation comes from my family. most of them are in Wisconsin and work or are to sick to get out and see the world. i want them to see what i get to see on my travels so they feel like they went with me. I want to give them the same experience i am having while far away. And not many people get to get out and enjoy nature. we are stuck inside most of the day working or in school. so to be able to show what they cant see pushes me to go take more pictures. to show the beauty of the world is my biggest motivation. But i have to give most of the credit to my mom for she has pushed me to put myself out there and start talking to more people. she always tells me how proud she is that i have yet to give up and keep trying. she was the first one to put a camera in my hand and let me go at it and take what ever pictures a wanted, as long as the family was in most of them.
