Meet Jenny Ruhland

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Jenny Ruhland again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Jenny , we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
After graduating in Cosmetology, Jenny took a detour when she met her husband Austin. With Austin being a contractor and working through numerous fix-and-flips; real estate and design clicked as Jenny’s true passion. Fast forward a few homes (and a couple of remodels) later, and in 2017, HomeSpun Staging + Design was born. Based in Fort Collins, this family-owned and operated company blends creativity, vision, and a bit of elbow grease to transform spaces into something special. Our moto lately has been “Spread the feeling of home.”
Now, Jenny and Austin live and play in Loveland, Colorado, where they enjoy life with their two kids—balancing business with family, and still finding time to sneak in a game of tag or a DIY project here and there. They’re proof that you can love what you do and have a little fun while doing it!

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
At HomeSpun Staging + Design, we stage over 300 vacant homes each year with style, precision, and a touch of personality. With an inventory ready for up to 80 vacant stagings at any given time, we’ve mastered the art of transforming spaces quickly and beautifully. And while we’re passionate about our work, we know how to balance it all—running a thriving business, raising a family, and still finding time for a little fun. After all, great design isn’t just about the spaces we create—it’s about living life to the fullest, too!

We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
We get busy and spread thin in this job & industry (and all jobs, right) so I think consistently reminding ourselves that the people we work with are not familiar with this process, don’t sell their home often and are busy themselves. We as humans need to slow down a bit and give a little grace. I want people to remember that we were a blend of ‘get shit done and compassion while doing it.’ I think its important to remember WHY were doing what we’re doing and it’s not only to sell a house quickly for top dollar it’s who we meet in the process. We have met some of the unique people and been blessed with some great opportunities in our daily work that I often need to remind myself, it’s not what you do – it’s who you do it for.
