Meet Jessibella Vigil | Licensed Aesthetician & Medspa Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessibella Vigil and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessibella, what do you attribute your success to?
I would have to say the most important factor behind the success of my business is passion for what I do. I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in which I genuinely loved doing. Life is too short to not do something you truly love. Aesthetics has been one of the most rewarding careers for me. Making others feel confident in their own skin is what I am passionate about, and my passion for this industry is truly the reason I am where I am today. Not many people would think of my career as impactful, but a great majority of individuals struggle with mental health because of skin concerns – such as acne – & seeing the tear filled smiles on my clients faces when I help clear their acne is the best feeling in the world. Owning a business hasn’t been easy – especially during a pandemic – but my passion is what truly has driven my success & has motivated me to never give up on doing what I love.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Modern Skin Therapy I pride myself in reassuring my clients that I will always be continually educating myself & growing as a professional. I want to be an expert at what I do. Providing my clients with the best and highest quality of service is a priority for me. The most exciting part of what I do is getting to build relationships with my clients and seeing them become more confident in their own skin! I wouldn’t be where I am today and own my dream Medspa without the support of my wonderful clients. I love treating a variety of skin conditions such as acne, pigmentation, and aging to further improve the overall health of the skin. It is my greatest passion!

Owning a business has definitely been a rollercoaster! I sure have had my fair share of learning curves and challenges, as well as successes. Many people think of success as the stereotypical “million dollar business”, but for me, I wanted to find success in the little things. Success for me looked like opening my first tiny 200 sqft. studio room with nothing but a sink & a facial bed. Success for me was having my first fully booked week after months of sporadic appointments. Success was even the mistakes I have made and learned from. Every new step as an Entreprenuer, good or bad, was a success for me. Not because my business was being run perfectly (because trust me, it wasn’t) but because I am in constant pursuit of learning & growing to better my business. For some, success may look like reaching that million dollar business goal. But its the little successes that bring you to accomplishing your biggest goals for your business! Success comes down to your mindset, passion, and the mentality you carry as an entrepreneur, because that is the foundation of a successful business. Personally for me, that is what will drive your business to TRUE success.

One other thing that has brought my business to where it is today is having a strong presence on social media. Technology has given me the opportunity to connect with my community on a more personable level, build relationships, and has allowed me to help many individuals with their skin goals all across the states virtually! Social media has even opened the opportunity to support other business owners like myself & network with many others. It is truly a wonderful and crucial tool that we should not take for granted! I am so grateful for the community I have been able to surround myself with.

The biggest takeaway that has really stuck with me throughout my business journey is this thought: “YOU are what sets your business apart from others. YOU are the most unique thing about your business & the reason why many people will choose your business over and over again”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love living in Colorado because of our beautiful outdoors! There is always so much to do, I LOVE going up to our beautiful mountains and enjoying the hot springs, hiking, or going to my favorite little mountain town – Vail Colorado. Im also a HUGE fan of our coffee shops, and the best places are usually the small hole-in-the-wall locations because they make the most fresh, delicious coffee, and genuinely acre about their customers. My personal favorite is Fika Coffee House in Parker Colorado! Literally the best coffee I have ever tasted, its where I send all my clients and friends who love a good cozy coffee shop. As for food, one of the best unique places in Colorado is Beau Jo’s Pizza in Idaho Springs & is always a MUST when in Colorado.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the support of my loving husband and family . They have loved and supported me since the beginning of Modern Skin Therapy, and have encouraged me through all of the highs and lows of learning how to run a business. Success isn’t always linear, and they sure have been there for me through it all! My husband and family are a huge part of what made me the woman I am today, and the reason I pour everything I have into what I love.
