We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Amicarella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I would consider myself a hard worker. I was recently in a class where everyone was asked to say one word that describes a peer. Everyone used the word hustler to describe me. It has taken a lot of hardwork to get where I am today, but I feel that I’m a very determined individual. I don’t give up easily.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
No, I would not say it was easy to get where I am today. When I realized I wanted to change my platform, I actually lost every employee I had. So I was literally starting from scratch. That’s when leaders of luxury came to the rescue. Amanda Wicker was very instrumental in helping me put the systems in place to run a successful business with employees. With her help, and my amazing staff, we have created a very relaxed and loving culture here at the Lash House. I have always wanted a place for women who can come in and feel safe even if they are in the pajamas and no make up, and leave feeling like a rockstar.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them downtown, to our local restaurants. The Mill is a great spot for cocktails!
