We had the good fortune of connecting with Jim Chapman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jim, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important thing to me is making people happy. I know you can’t make them all happy but actually have a show and watching the live music fans and the bands playing having a great time together enjoying a live music experience to me is pricless.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Career wise it is a self taught but immersing myself into everything I do by asking question, research and always being open to new ideas. Ideas are tools and I love tools. Easy? Nothing worth while that you want to truly do is easy. Learn to love it or leave it. Overcoming challenges should be something you like to do, there is always lots of them, it never goes away. Overcame plenty and plan on overcoming some everyday. Everyone has challenges daily in life, work and dealing with situations that arise all the time. Running a buisiness is just setting yourself up for more of that, It’s just a fact. In whatever it is you do my advice is facing obstacles with honesty and integrety. In the end, It is all you really own. You do not really own a business, it owns you. The Wolf is my native American sign, It just made sense to call it Wolfpack Productions.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If it was someone visiting here in Denver I would find out where a good live music show was happening and offer that as well as a good meal. To many great places to list I would check their mood, only because I can eat good Mexican food everyday and see what they were in for. As far as going out of state an a vacation, There must be either sun, ocean beach or a great music thing going on or all of the above.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This is a hard one to answer. The main shoutouts would be to the bands that work so hard and find dedicated time to actually form, be in, and immerse themselves into the art of music. The fans and concert goers that open their hard earned money on tickets to a show and of course all of the Bars, clubs and venue’s that support live music. Can’t list one or two names so I will just shout out to the Wolfpack Crew and hundreds of other friends that keep inspiring me, you know who you are. Growing up as a kid my brother had friends that worked for Barry Fey. Barry is a legend in the business and his book ‘Backstage Pass” is a great read. Things are greatly different now then they were then but what a pioneer. I have always loved music and live shows.
