We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnny Lombino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Johnny, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started SOL Paddle Boards because there wasn’t a brand that offered the HIGHEST quality boards with a fantastic 7 year seam warranty. I knew that our construction techniques were the best and that we could achieve our goals!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
SOL’s meticulous attention to product detail sets us apart. We not only produce the best inflatable paddle board on the market, but we stand behind our warranty. The customer service that SOL gives to each and every customer is heads and tails above our competition. We got to the point that we are at by listening EVERY customer. I personally go above and beyond to get an issue solved and always look to be moving forward. It is never easy when starting and running a successful business. We thrive to be the best! We have overcome COVID delays and raising prices. When people look at use a SOL Paddle Board, they know it is top of the line quality with a great look and the best warranty in the business!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When people come to visit me we head to Moab, Ut. We cruise to the desert with Sups, Bikes, camping gear and a good attitude. I like to take them to the porcupine rim bike train, then to then Colorado River. We break out the SOL Paddle Boards and tackle the Moab Daily river section. We ALWAYS hit up Milt’s Burger and Ice Cream shop! It is a must when in Moab. After a long day of biking and paddling we relax under the stars in one of the most beautiful scenic spots in the world!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Laurel. She has been there for support, advise and always shows up with a great attitude. Chris Johnson, a SOL employee has worked extremely hard for SOL and shares the same values on what it takes to create a GREAT company.
